Essential to my husband's survival
After years of trying to find ways to live with my husband's snoring (and ensuring he lives too!), I have found these wee beauties. No longer do I and the cat have to decamp to the spare room in the middle of the night! They are noise reducing rather than noise cancelling, which is preferable as who doesn't want to hear the fire alarm? So if you want to hear nothing then you'll need something else, and someone to wake you up if there's a fire. But to aid a good night's sleep, get these. They can take a bit of work to get right. The instructions say to use one in each ear. That's OK if you have big ears, but mine are in proportion to my height which is 5ft nothing on a good day. Other reviewers have suggested splitting them in half, but I've found using a third each is better for me, so take some time to play around until you find the right size for you. Make sure your hair isn't in the way, that prevents them forming a full seal in your ear. Once you put them in hold them in place while you count ten seconds, then roll your finger gently away so the ear plugs stay in place. Then drift off to a lovely sleep! As I've said, they only reduce the noise rather than cancel it, so they you can still hear your hubby snoring when he pulls you in close and snores right next to your ear. For that I recommend training the cat to sleep in between you to act as a barrier! Sweet dreams!

AMAZING.
I wish I'd found these sooner. If, like me, you have what an audiologist described as "the smallest ear canals she's ever seen" and normal ear plugs don't work for you, these are definitely a perfect alternative. As long as you follow the instructions and are willing to have a little bit of patience with them, they work perfectly. After you put them in, they continue to swell for a little while and do sometimes pop out so you will need to play around with them a little, but once they're in, they're IN. As the leaflet states, they aren't noise CANCELLING, they are noise REDUCING. And they certainly do that well. I work a mixture of days and nights and also live with an inconsiderate housemate who doesn't understand the concept of "quiet" and sits shouting at his Xbox when I'm trying to sleep for my shift and these have made a world of difference... They've stopped me ending up arrested for what I believe to be totally justifiable murder. That in itself is a selling point. Seriously, they work. And they work great.

Sleeping without listening to rackets
The ear plug are excellent for my sensitive hearing as i got Autism, but mainly it to help me sleep or concentrate me from my mid 50s mad neighbour who get so drunk or go blooming full r-tard and keeps arguing with his dad for no reason what so ever at the stupidest times. They are very good to stick on ur ear and mouled on your ear for comfort like when you get hearing aids but the downside to it is that you need to push the mould in to the canal for a better cancellation or other wise you be not getting good sleep as when i done it you can ear stuff around you but when you push the mould in for 10 seconds and it be fine unless it falls off during your sleep that had happened to me couple of times. Even it can get dirty quickly and also degrades fast then unexpected.

Ok earplugs worth the price.
Ok earplugs, however it does block out all sounds. I don't like the fact that there's a small chance of it getting stuck, and needing to visit the ER.

A must for those in hospital!!
I've been in hospital a while, and I've worked my way through sleepless nights and other ear plugs. I had a set of these lent to me and I followed the instructions given - simple and easy. Now whilst they were brilliant when it came to the snoreers on the bay (all 4 of them) - I was pleasantly surprised, the occasional loud snort got through! But hey these were working against the general noise of the ward, the staff, the snoring, etc ... I can put up with the occasional snort - so for me this has now lead to the best few nights sleep since I received them. I'm still on my first set, so they also stay put overnight. As a person with long hair I was concerned my hair would get caught or stick into them - but so far that hasn't happened. So all I can really say, is a product that has pleasantly suprised me - considering I've put it to its paces in a hospital setting both day and night. It has bought me peaceful sleep leaving me ready to face the day.

Not Beary good. May as well just stuff Haribo in your ears.
Ordered these as they had a large number of positive reviews & want to get away from disposables (save the planet & all that). In short, completely useless. A lot of hassle to get them in, so no good if needing to pop them in & out at work, etc. Unpleasantly tacky & leave your ear feeling mucky & irritable when they fall off shortly after. Manufacturer says don't get them stuck to your hair, tall order if you have long hair or a beard, these things are so sticky they get stuck to your pillow, too. Oh, & aside from everything else, they do nothing to deaden your hearing; OK, 27dB reduction, so maybe I was wrong to expect any noticeable drop off, but then whats the point in the product at such little desired effect? You'd have better luck with wine gums than these. Curiously, there's a little pamphlet in the box asking not to post negative reviews on Amazon, read into that what you will... I'd still like to find some reusable plugs but the 3M foam squishees can't be beat.

Comfortable and flexible
Great earplugs. Soft and flexible, can mould into your ears to create a snug fit seal. The most comfortable earplugs I've come across, and I have sensitive ears and am a side sleeper. Recommended.
