New and favourite hobby
Some extra models in the pictures but just to show how easy it is to do. It took about a month to paint it all up. I enjoyed doing it a lot, rules are easy and a great thing to start. Excellent value for money considering one regiment of line infantry is normally £20.

Good
A Great starter kit but if your a slow painter it can drive you nuts. The figures are highly detailed, but very small, the quality is good but not games workshop quality. So painting them can be hard well they are for me, i suppose its a learning curved. There is tones of models in the box, lots of French infantry and they are late Napoleonic so they are more easier to paint then the standard uniform. The problem is the price which is very expensive, well i thought so. Of course if you bought the single boxes of infantry you would only 3.5 battalions for the same price. Here you get about 6 infantry battalions of 24 figures each, bases, one 6 pounder cannon for the British and French cavalry for the French. No flags or command units, no drummers as well. You do get sperate officers on foot but i think they are a bit pointless. So if you want the command units you have to fork extra and get the single box. Warlord should have included the command unit and flags in the box to complete it. The figures are a bit weak esp. the musket and bayonets. But i guess they wanted to hook people into buying more. Basically the box has 2 brigades full of figures and you get a rule book. The problem its very small so reading its is hard. Other stuff like painting guide is useless. Still its good buy if you like Napoleonic wargaming.

Great for Padding Napoleonic Forces
I have little intention of playing Black Powder, but the models are great for padding out my 28mm Napoleonic armies. The miniatures themselves are repetitive, but for the asking price, they are great value. The addition of cavalry, commanders for each force and a cannon are fantastic. Good value for money if you just want the minis. If you want to play Black Powder too, you can't beat it!

Superb value
As a starter set for Napoleonic war gaming this is excellent value. It’s also a good way to bulk out your mini collection if you are already an experienced gamer.

Not bad but could be better
I love warlord games and played a lot of bolt action. So thought I'd pick this up after watching the waterloo film! Rules are straight forward enough but tend to use house rules for black powder period. The great value comes from the huge number of miniatures you get that are very easy to put together. However this is the major drawback of warlords black powder plastic range in that all the soldiers have the same 'shoulder arms' pose. This can make armies look quite boring. But for £50 it isnt bad.

This is an excellent value; and includes the latest 2nd edition rule book. Compare this price with buying it directly from the manufacturer. These figures are eminently playable. Just add some British light horse and perhaps some more artillery. Adaptable to many rules sets; I glue them on 3/4 inch metal fender washers, and the use 3mm magnets to apply to metal bases as needed by the varied rules sets. The washers keep them up when playing skirmish games.Excellent and easy to paint.
