Trident Aegis Series Case for Samsung Galaxy S5 - Retail Packaging - Black

This is a really nice case. The Samsung Galaxy 5S is a larger phone and my hands are small. The finish on this case makes the phone feel much more secure in my hand. It is easy to put on and fits very well. However, the case comes with a screen protector which has GALAXY S V printed in very bold, black, letters about 3/4 of an inch above the home button. It makes it quite difficult to read or write texts, or anything that is in that area of the phone. You might want to consider ordering a screen protector separately when you order this case.

I had one of Trident's cases on my Galaxy S2 and loved it. When I upgraded to the S5, I had no doubts who I wanted a case from. These leave the competition looking like cheap junk: I like mine better than the Otterbox that I tried first on my friend's recommendation, and the Trident blows it out of the water.Pros: Easy install, tough and provides a great grippy surface. The old one saved my phone from a fall from a ladder (6' or so) screen down directly onto my garage floor (bare concrete) without so much as a scuff. You know all your friends with cracked cell phone screens? Buy this, and then laugh at them.Cons: Only one minor annoyance, the S2 case had a large rubber Trident logo in the center of the back. I could throw my phone on my dashboard, drive like a madman, and the phone literally wouldn't budge. For some reason, they omitted that logo on this case. It still has plenty of grip on the sides (great for setting it down on its side to watch movies. You can have your kickstand, loser!), but I do miss that old logo. Won't be throwing this one up on the dash.Complaint aside, an easy 5 star buy, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. These can't be beat, and the price is less than many (inferior!) competitors.

I purchased Trident again because I loved my previous one so much. This one is the same concept... Silicone inside, plastic cage outside, but my problem with this case is there is not enough exposed silicone. The reason this is important is because the plastic is slippery making me more likely to drop it. It would be nice to have some exposed on the back for placing on the car dash as well as more to grab on the sides. Overall I think Trident should go back to its original design such as the one they had for my old RAZR (AG-XT912-BK AEGIS Case) Lastly personal preference I think having the silicone have the color looks cooler than having the plastic have the color (personal preference)

I have an older trident case for a WP HTC. I loved that case. This case I really like. It seems to fit a bit looser than the old style trident case I have and there is no rubber trident on the back to stop slipping. Over all I still like the case and the fact that you can get multiple colors for both pieces if you desire is awesome.

Great product. This is the second one I have bought (previous one was from local store though). The first one lasted years but it was worn out and I broke the edge. This one will last just as long as they are quality cases. I recommend it.

This is my 2nd Trident Aegis case but my 1st time buying this item from SIMPLE LIFE on Amazon. The product itself meets my expectation but the screen protector. I read the instruction before I began to put it on my phone. Unluckily, I found out there was a big bold print as "SAMSUNG S V" on the screen protector after I already applied it on screen. It is kind of in the way when you are on the home screen. So, I contacted the seller about the issue. And this is what happenedDay 1 - Seller asked for the order number. In fact, I gave him the wrong order number accidentally. It is my bad.Day 2 - Seller told me to read the instruction and denied that the print isn't on the screen protector. The print is on the sheet. He implied that I put the sheet on my screen instead of the screen protector. In fact, if I put the wrong one on, it will slide off the screen because the screen protector is self-applicable. The sheet won't even stick to the screen. And if you are not stupid enough, you can tell which one to use by weight.Day 3- Seller told me there were two sheets on the front and the back. Check if I put the wrong one. In fact, authentic product according to the instruction and Trident website. There is only 1 sheet that has No. 1 tab on it and only 1 screen protector that has No. 2 tab on it.Day 3 - Seller asked the order number again. In fact, I told him the number I gave him on day 1.Day 4 - Seller denied that I didn't purchase the item from him. So, I captured the screen of my order history and sent it to himDay 5 - Seller told me to contact amazon to return the item. In fact, I can't as I already put the screen protector on my phone for about 5 days already. The item has been used and the box was opened and torn. The red tab over the screen protector has been removed.Day 6 - Seller said my item was shipped by amazon. Amazon has the product to replace. Please understand him.My conclusion is I'm wasting my time and chasing my tail with this seller. Next time, I won't bother to contact this seller. I will just do the return as I don't need to be insulted that I couldn't tell which one is sheet and which one is screen protector. Last time I had problem with item on Amazon, the seller just sent the missing part to me.Dear Amazon,I have tried to contact seller before I wrote the review. It has been a week trying to straight out the problem. It 's not worth it.ThanksDay 7 - Wrote the review and called Amazon. They will refund the money and I dont need to return the product.

I loved my original trident case this one is made a little differently but is still good. I no longer use the phone I bought it for but I still have this case.

I love this case, I had it in the past with my s4 mini and I can tell you it saved my phone in more than 1000 ways including dropping it from 6 ft high and leaving my cellphone on top of my car facing down ( not intentionally ) and driving at 70 Mph for almost 2 hours.
