I love Crio Bru. These roasts were rich and flavorful when brewed on “bold” with the appropriate ratio of water to grounds (2 Tbsp per line on my coffee maker). When I’m in the mood for a more “chocolatey” flavor I take a tip from the ingredients in their “double chocolate” variety and add a tsp of cocoa powder to the entire bag and shake it up.

Crio Bru is brewed like coffee. I love chocolate and this by itself makes hot chocolate without the fat and calories. Of course you can add cream and sugar and have a more traditional hot chocolate experience. Or you can brew it with coffee for a smooth mocha-style coffee. The brew is cloudy, not clear like coffee. It tastes great! If you need to cut down on caffeine this could be a good alternative. Try it!

We followed the directions for the french press and were very happy with the flavor. We don't like drinks overly sweet so this was perfect. You could add sweetener if you like. Don't expect it to taste like the powdered cocoa mixes you get because it doesn't have the sugar or the milk replacement.We were very happy with this product and plan to keep getting it in the future.

I mix this with my coffee. It's a nice addition to my normal coffee. It isn't really chocolaty like a hot cocoa. But it's a nice smooth flavor.

This stuff is delicious but needs to be brewed strong! Tastes more like cocao butter then chocolate which would make sense.

I though I would give this product a try since I drink tons of coffee. I tried the cacao three different ways, pour through a filter, in a keurig, and french press. I tried a lot of it, a little of it, and mixed it with good fresh ground coffee. Mixed with coffee, it is not bad and adds a chocolate flavor but by itself it tastes aweful. It tastes like really watered down hot chocolate. I wanted to like it but I will just have to blend it with coffee tills it's gone.

I add a couple of tablespoons to my pot of ground coffee every morning prior to brewing. It is a real treat as it makes the coffee smoother and adds a great taste.

I liked both brews that I tried. The issue is that they weren't really noticeably better than the cheaper bag I found online. I am not a real connoisseur, so perhaps those with a more developed taste for coffee would prefer these varieties. I did enjoy them to the end.
