This is a serious mat, it’s made to last. I have used it one week and it’s changed my whole workout. It’s worth it to pay more in this because of the quality.

I bought one of these a few years ago when I was doing CROSSFIT. My neighbor gave it a try the other day, and fell in love with it and asked me to order her one ASAP. She has lower back pain, and says that not only does this do great sit ups, it helps to stretch her back. She also liked the booklet that came with it, showing her additional exercises. I've loved it for years -- its on the floor in my living room, easy to crank out a few sit ups every now and then.

Great tool for sit-ups. Gives lower back support and back comfort when doing sit-ups and even more effective with a medicine ball.

I like to dance like a bear in the woods, which involves rubbing your back on a lot of trees. Traditionally this scrapes all my back skin off. I found that if I bought a bunch of these and brought them into the woods I could glue them to the trees with wood glue right at back level. These things are made to rub your back on, and tend to do a good job of not scraping off any back skin. One word of advice, don't take these things bear dancing during hunting season, they don't stop bullets. That's really their only downside. Also they adhere really well to trees with ordinary wood glue!Happy bear dancing!

I bought this along with the Ab Carver Pro when my regular ab routine got boring. Seriously thought this would be a waste of money because it looks so simple. Well i was wrong. As soon as i performed a couple of crunches using this thing, my abs started to burn...a good burn. My crunch count has gone down when using this thing because i know it targets the ab muscles and won't allow you to do a crunch with bad form. This is how a crunch should be done. Good buy, but i think it's a little bit overpriced.

I had heard great things about the Abmat but am usually the last one to believe the hype. I work out often and can do countless situps so I really didn't think this would do anything for me. I was wrong. The Abmat fits perfectly in the small of your back to get complete abdominal extension and lower back support. Sure, you could get the same effects from several other products...but they cost WAY more. The Abmat is awesome and I use it every day. Constructed well and had grip strips on the bottom so it will not slide while you exercise. It also comes with a workout plan for beginners.

I first used these at my CrossFit box. Now that I'm sheltering in place, I bought one for home use. They really save my back when doing ab mat situps. I've tried different brands, and I prefer the curve/height/firmness of this one compared to another brand I've tried.Note that one side is higher than the other, and that's the side which should be next to your butt.
