so far I'm very happy with this product. I've used it two nights in a row while sitting outside (we live in Georgia outside of Atlanta with lots of woods around!) and NO BITES! I was getting eaten alive - we have had a lot of rain, so lots of mosquitoes! The little pads turn white when they're finished which is helpful for replacement purposes. I'm not sure how long the butane insert will work- it says 12 hours, but that's hard to gauge if you're not keeping track. The little orange light inside -on the end of the unit -that tells you it's working is very small and a little difficult to keep in your view unless you're staring right at it. I bought extra cartridges and pads, and I believe I'll probably use it most of the time when outside.

Excellent vendor customer service. I broke the first unit trying to find a battery chamber. Model MR300 does not require a battery. Customer service replaced my broken unit, no questions. Customer service walked me through the operation of the 2nd. unit and it was successful. I am very satisfied.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I absolutely love that this doesn’t have a bad smell. Only downside is if it’s windy. I’ve taken this kayaking and camping and just hanging out outside and it is like magic without the citronella smell!

Pretty decent product except there is no way to wear this on your person. I ordered two of these thinking you could clip them on your belt as you worked in one general area i.e. an open air shop or something as well as the patio stand up version. There is no difference between what the patio version and this does. I'm not sure why they even make both versions to be honest - seems really stupid and pointless to me as the patio table version and this one use the same sized fuel cartridge and the same size chemical pads. So save your money and just buy one or the other. The engineers missed a real opportunity with no belt clip, lanyard, or carabiner attachment. But works extremely well as long as it is a windless day - if there are winds stronger than 2 mph expect to be eaten.

This will be my third device added to my camping collection. It’s one of a kind. You can sit around a campfire or just in your backyard and not worry about being bit. It repels mosquitoes like no other. Don’t sit on these!!

Everyone already knows that these are just great tools to keep you in the woods when the gnats and mosquitoes are carrying you off!Love mine and it proved itself again in the hog hunting swamps of costal Georgia!

A joke ! A scam! A plastic 10 cents fake. It takes no batteries. Does NOT work.**Update (June 23, 2025). It works, after I discovered (not in instructions), that the small liquid bottle has to be screwed when pushing it inside the back.Regardless, in no windy environment, placing itright next to me the mosquitoes kept coming and bitting. Not effective at all! Still a waste, and have to keep on buying fuel little bottles and pads. Worst, you CANNOT return it! A joke indeed!
