Fishers Finery Women's EcoFabric Short Sleeve Nightgown; Relaxed Fit

Gown is soft and very comfortable. It is true to size. It's gone through several washings and hasn't shrunk of faded. It's well constructed and hasn't fallen apart. I purchased two of these gowns originally and will be purchasing more.

I just received this last week so have only worn it a few times so far. Love the fabric, the fit and the style. Very comfortable, not hot at all, which was one of my biggest concerns. Fabric very soft and a little heavier than I was expecting. I would equate the fabric weight with a good quality tee for comparison. It fit just as I was hoping for. Some nightgowns have entirely too much fabric that just balloons. This was was perfect for me. Plain style, no lace or embellishments at all. Quality seems to be great, even better than I was expecting. Overall, so far I’m quite impressed with the product but will post more later if that changes.Because I loved the first one I ordered in pink I have ordered one in black. Same great quality, comfort and fit. These are my go-to gowns now.....might as well toss all others in trash as I will probably never wear them again. These wash up great however I hang to dry. I don’t want any shrinkage even though others have posted they don’t shrink so after I’ve had them awhile I might try the dryer. Absolutely recommend these gowns.

This is my 3rd nightgown purchase. I have 2 of the sleeveless ones and now 1 with short sleeves. As winter approached I felt I wanted a bit of coverage on my shoulders for a tiny bit of warmth. This was perfect. I’m post menopausal and still everything makes me too hot. This is the perfect gown. It is cooling, soft, high quality fabric and holds up wonderfully to repeat washing. I’ve had my gowns for over a year. I need to take any other I have to goodwill. These are the only ones I want.

Five or six years ago I bought a couple of these nightgowns and have been wearing them nightly year round ever since. I wash and dry them with the regular laundry (although the label recommends special treatment) and they've lasted quite some time. I noticed the other day that my oldest night gown was getting pretty thin and stretched out - not bad for six years of service though! I was delighted to see that they're still for sale. This new one is just as soft and cozy and nice as I remember my old ones being when they were new. They run quite large so you might opt to buy a size down.

EDIT: After a wash it WAS much softer, which was a relief. It's very comfy as a fabric, though I still don't love the design. I ended up cutting off the sleeves because I wanted this to be a cool summer sleepwear and it is much better. It also is roomier after a wash but the hem keeps it from draping the way it seems to on the model.--------I am hoping this will soften up after a wash, but I was disappointed after seeing all the reviews rave about how soft it was. It's a little closer to t-shirt texture than the softness I've been searching for. Also if you're looking for plus size or XXL it doesn't run as large as other views suggest, but it will probably fit up to a size 20 with room to drape or a 22 but tighter.

After reading about the company on their website "Fishers Finery sought, by using simple, ecologically responsible fabrics ... to create products that respect our environment. Fishers Finery is a conscious lifestyle choice ... not at the expense of the environment. Our garments are designed and created at Fishers Finery ...We are committed to our environment." I expected to see products made in the US (at Fishers Finery in CT perhaps?) and was disappointed to find that the products were in fact made in China.While the fabric might be "eco" the manufacturing and distribution isn't and when I spend extra for an ecologically friendly product, that's part of what I thought I was buying, so boo for non-disclosure (I might even go so far as a little deceptive which is why I dropped them two stars). The nightgown itself is great -- soft, comfortable, washes and dries well and somehow manages not to ride-up in the night like most of my other nightgowns. In fact, I loved it so much that I bought one for everyone in my family for Christmas before realizing where they were made (not clearly noted on the product or packaging). I may still buy from them again if I can't find an eco fabric that's made closer to home using sustainable manufacturing, but an eco product that's not really eco doesn't get five stars.

The fabric is truly beautiful. So soft and comfortable. I bought two styles from this company and am very pleased.

Seemed heavy out of the package but I washed it right away as I do with all new clothing & it was much lighter afterwards. I have wicked hot flashes & it seemed to reduce the wake up times due to discomfort.
