Easy install, works great.
Easy install on my Cannon widebody safe from TSC. Replaced the original lock which failed to open every time (common problem with Cannon) with this lock, with only minor modification. Only needed to drill/tap two new 8-32 holes to mount the keypad, the original hole pattern is horizontal--the S&G is vertical mounting studs. The quality of this lock is very good for the price.

Not the quality you should get for the name- UPDATE CS Called Back
Well I spent the "extra" on the real thing and it was not "extra" at all. The set arrived with the face plate / keypad snapped together and zero instructions on how to "unsnap" them. Yes, you can see 4 small hooks via the back plate but as nobody has 4 hands to keep them all apart and I did not want to break it I called the customer service line. Several options later I had to leave a number for a call back and that never came after about 4 hours so I carried on with assembly. I was replacing another S&G in a Winchester branded safe. Face plate mounts matched, rear assembly holes matched, but the spring loaded anti-tamper plate did not. Holes that lined up perfectly with the original plate were not threaded at all so I had to re-drill to match other holes in the back of the mechanism. Then, once all was tested and working, I snapped the face plate / keypad back onto the base on the front of the face and one of the retaining teeth snapped off. So, my brand new lock works but the keypad is not fully set in the front of the safe. Why did they not use a twist lock version? Why did they use ultra-cheap chromed plastic tabs? Why did they ship it snapped together forcing the buyer to pry it apart? Who knows, they never called me back. I should have gotten the knock off for less than half the price. They called today and agreed the directions leave a lot to be desired. The pictures in the instructions shows the two parts separated, but they are not meant to be taken apart. You are supposed to put the screws into the safe body and then hang the whole thing and give it a 1/4 turn like a smoke detector. To make up for it, they are sending me a new pad. Cudos to S&G for saving the day. If the new keypad shows up I will give it the next star.

Works as advertised
Replaced an old style dial type lock. Was an easy install and programming . Don’t need to be a locksmith to install but some mechanical aptitude is bennifical .

Great improvement is safe access
Great improvement for our safe. My wife always struggled with the combination lock and though it wasn’t an expensive safe it did have a S&G lock - it just was time consuming and annoying. I’m pretty mechanical so it wasn’t a big challenge to change . A couple pointers I’d make is I did have to modify the plate on the relocker bracket to remove lugs that had nowhere to fit on the new case but then could still screw the bracket on flat and hold the relocker arm. Also I’d remind you that once you enter the electronic code the bolt doesn’t retract but you hear a click that indicates it is “released” and will swivel up as you throw the bolts to open the safe.

Stuck
Well all was perfect except one thing. Installation was easy. I unlocked it and opened the door of my safe. Then i tried to close it and the bolt got stuck on a piece of the steel plate. Could not get this, i tried flipping around but same result. It just gets stuck and wont go past that. I really wish this was going to work. I did not know the bolt was forced down by a spring which cause it to jam on the plate. Need to return it and get something else that doesnt do that.

Check your delivery and product before you start the installation. If looks used, send it back
After receiving two combination locks from Amazon, both of which opened by a prior user and had missing parts, I was hesitant to buy another. But three is the charm, and I love the electronic lock, with all the parts included. Make sure you are not receiving a lock that someone else bought. So much time wasted, but very happy now

use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften up the realis tangs so they don't break off
