Q: How long do they hold the scent for?

It has been awhile since I made any room fresheners with these beads, but I do remember it depends on the fragrance you use. Essentials oils for me didn't last as long as the other bottle fragrances. My opinion. Also I read to be patient and let them stay in the jar to distribute the fragrance for a week and half to two weeks. These are the only beads I have used so can't compare them to others, but I think they worked well.

Q: Whats wrong when your aroma beads crumble in the middle of freshies

Usually there is too much mica, or you cooked too hot. Try lowering the temp and cooking a few minutes longer. Also change the level in the oven, Ie the shelves should be lowered.

Q: What’s the difference between these and poly fill beads?

Great Question. The make up of the beads determine what they can be used for. These are the type of beads that are used for Soles of Shoes, Plastic bags and Aroma beads. With the Specific type of Melt index and Ratios, they are the perfect mix to make the beads and absorb the scent and color to have the maximum positive affect. As for poly fill beads, Im not sure what they are used for, I guess for like Bean Bags, and Weighted blankets, but They will not work for aroma beads.

These 3 lbs will go fast but these beads do NOT hold scent and color well. Made me feel like I was failing but it was just the beads. Check out PlasticPellets4Fun
