Sax Non-Toxic Giant Tempera Paint Cakes with Tray - 2 1/4 x 3/4 inch - Set of 9 - Assorted Colors - 402321

I bought this item because I wanted to experiment with tempera paints and it was inexpensive. I also liked the idea of the solid cakes of paint and haven't been disappointed. They don't make a mess and paint isn't wasted. I've been pleasantly surprised with the quality of these paints. They are very easy to use and I have been able to blend them to make all kinds of colors with fantastic color payoff. Also, I'll be able to reuse the plastic container it comes in.

We LOVE these paints in our house. They are easy to use and clean up, and the colors are vibrant. They paint like water colors, but they are easier for a toddler to manipulate. (But I like painting with them, too). The large size makes them easy to clean if the colors get mixed up. I know they aren't water colors, but they are used like water colors, and I think they are the perfect entry into teaching kids how to paint. Yay!

I have been buying these paints for my classroom since 1996! I purchased a set for my gkids and they absolutely love them. It’s like giant watercolor cakes. No spills, just awesome, easy clean up, fun! 🤩

Loved this product - worth a little extra as water colors always dissolve away! Easy to pop out of the tray if you want to share with a group.

So I was pleasantly surprised that this set was LARGER than expected. The paint pellets are nice and thick. Love that you can individually use them for toddlers. I knocked off a star because the paint does not wash out easily. My multi-use table (which is pretty indestructible with several coats of poly) is not liking this pigment being stuck to it, even after using a magic eraser. We've moved all of this to outside only.

I am a non-crafty, non-artistic, non-paint enthusiast homeschool mom, who has been blessed with 3 children who love crafts, art, and paint. This is my dream!! It is easy to use, easy to clean, easy to mix colors, and with a good set of brushes, really paints well. The paint isn't your typical "water colors" that run and are translucent, but can be applied somewhat thick and make for bold color. Love this set!

This product exceeded my expectations. I've recommended it to several other moms of preschoolers. The tray is very durable and the colors are bright. My daughter is visually impaired and I'm an artist so I'm always on the lookout for good quality materials that she is able to see well. I won't hesitate to purchase this again when it runs out.

Love the tray it comes in, dries fast and hardly made a dent in the disks after 4 of us were painting for an hour yesterday! They do smell a bit funny leave a chalky feeling on your hands, but that is better than buying liquid tempera paints every other week! Only thing we missed were a few other colors, so I'd suggest getting another set with pink & brown or a different variation of colors

Thought that this was going to be smaller than the average 6 puck set but they are the same size. Bigger than they looked to me, so I was pleased. My sons uses these paints often and they have lasted really well. Very pigmented and great for kids. Washes off of stuff fairly easily as well.

We love these paints, have used and used and used them but they still seem brand new. Really great compared to how much we were spending on tempera paint.

The colors are gorgeous! Setup is extremely fast and easy. Amazing quality, at an incredibly low price. I highly recommend! To improve, the company should provide a lid for easier storage.

Maybe put it in a box or something to make it a bit more appealing. It comes just wrapped in plastic how it is in the photo, but I think a box with a picture of some kind, showing what you can do with them, might make it look more appealing to young children. Our grand daughter was a bit confused at first about what they were.

Love using this, wish it had a lid. I was finding we wasted so much paint paint dumping it out for my toddler. This is not as beneficial for my 18 month old but for 3+, it's great!
