Alarm float not included, but great product overall
The image in the listing is incorrect, it shows three cords, one of which is the alarm float, which isn't actually included with this model. The user manual indicates that plumbing codes recommend including the alarm to avoid possible property damage (if the pump fails and the tank overfills) but since I installed mine outside, it's not an issue for me.The basin is very well built, the pump is powerful and definitely does the job. Be sure to read the installation instructions, especially information about backfill (small gravel, not native soil or sand, no rocks, etc.) to protect the basin long-term. As the manual states, it's not a traffic-rated enclosure, so don't put this where it can be driven over by a vehicle.Be sure to test it with water before running sewage through it, just in case there are any problems. FedEx did a great job with the delivery and brought a liftgate truck to drop it off. The shipping got hung up for a while because of a minor clerical issue from the seller, but one phone call to them (their customer service number is available online) got that sorted out quickly.

So far ok
Product arrived with no box and missing the clear top cover. It shipped using the pump body as the container which I think is probably ok. Setup and install were rather straight forward but we had to re-pipe the inlet 4 times due to leaks. We finally realized that the inlet stem, where the house pipe goes in, was formed on a molded seam that was not very round due to that seam which caused the leak. We shaved it with a razor blade a bit then sanded it round with sand cloth. NOW there are no leaks around the rubber boot. So far ok.

Completely Satisfied
The first pump arrived with shipping damage to the bottom of the basin (which is hard to believe as the pump basin is built very sturdy and tough). Regardless, I submitted the return that same morning and got the replacement system the next day in the evening. I was impressed. The next pump system arrived in great shape. I filled the basin with water and tried it multiple times and it worked great. Pumped 41 gallons with significant force within seconds. I also purchased the Liberty ARC18 Access Riser and some Butyl Sealing Rope just in case I ever need to replace the pump or alarm float (I didn't want to dig up dirt to get to the top of the pump system). The Riser doesn't actually bolt to the Basin but the construction allows it to fit snugly onto the outer edge of the basin and using the Butyl Tape, seals and holds it great along with the surrounding earth. If I ever do have a pump or float failure, I only need to remove the riser lid, then the basin lid and just lift out the pump or float. Liberty Pumps did a great job in the design as replacing a faulty pump or float is as easy as unplugging it and lifting it out of the basin. Excellent pump system and design. Works great!

Trouble-free operation
I added two full RV hookups so my parents could live on my property and I have other family members that visit. I am using this as a lift station which has a 4" intake and pumps out through a 2" outflow pipe to the septic tank 200+ feet away. It has been in service for a year now, and I have never had any problems with its operation.Installation was fun because of a high water table and long drop needed - but aside from those considerations, it was very easy...almost plug and play. For my setup, the top of the tank is actually about 12 inches below grade (so the bottom is about 3ft below grade). I have laid a brick ring around the edges of the top and then placed a 'sanitary sewer' manhole cover on top of that for access. I have not needed to access it, as it has worked flawlessly. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone needing a DIY lift station.

Solves a really difficult problem. 2 years and still taking it all away
What can you say, it works and is reasonably quiet. It kicks on a couple times a day at most for about 15 seconds. It can sound a bit like a flushing toilet, but really thats what it is doing. This solves a really big problem and helped me add another bathroom that didn't have the grade to join up with the main sewer system. I have two people taking showers toilet etc. and its been running for about two years without a problem. It was a snap to install, used a checkvalve. If the power goes out to the house its probably not a great time to take a shower, but it has a lot of reserve time so it shouldn't affect your toilet use.

Manufacturing Error - Beware
Liberty shipped the pump with the float switch in the wrong position. We tested the pump before covering the installation up.The pump ran continuously (ie no automatic shutoff). We removed the float assembly and found the float switch in position 4. In that lower position the float switch was laying on the bottom of the tank so it wasn’t sensing anything. We contacted Liberty Tech Support and the float switch should have been installed at the factory in position 3 (not position 4). Note the service and installation manual also lists the incorrect float position #4 for this model.Once the mounting was relocated to position 3 the unit functioned normally. Before you install (and cover it up!!) this model inspect the float position and if you are not sure contact Liberty Tech Support.

Recommend!
We were unfamiliar with a system like this but a friend who was a plumber recommended it for our situation. It arrived promptly, well packaged, in excellent condition. Parts not included ordered separately online because unavailable locally. Preparing the below-grade site was hardest part.Watched some tutorials online so installation wasn’t bad at all.Been in use for over two years now and functioning perfectly, just as described by the company.
