Important tool!
Just like any omnibook, this one is a powerful tool and can be used by anyone wanted to dig deeper into Evans' fingers, mind, and soul. I bought it to have in my teaching studio - it doesn't replace transcribing things on our own, but is a wonderful reference.

About 20 pages are missing
This is a great book in terms of its content. Really good transcriptions from what I can see and in an easily readable format. However, I noticed about 20 pages where missing when reading through it (See photo attached). Is there any way these can be found digitally or can be sent to me? I'd definitely bump this up to a 5 star if that's the case!Edit: Requested a return and they actually sent a new copy with all the pages! I would advise to make sure all the pages are included once you get the book just to be safe!

Great way for a Classical Pianist to dive into Jazz!
I stand by what I say! These are quality, well-interpreted takes on Bill Evans. The solos are engraved quite well, with proper notation throughout. Very rarely did I see something out of place, or sloppy. Not to mention each chord has been properly outlined throughout the book! It's definitely not for beginners, and you'll have to come up with your own phrasing and dynamics for the most part, but it was an amazing read for me! However, I will say that I have a lot of experience with sight reading, and this would be considered advanced sight reading material, but it would be completely fine for an intermediate-early advanced player to pick up some of these arrangement with some good practice! Is this worth the money? Yes!!!! Should you buy it? Maybe, it's a a perfect product for a seasoned pianist, with much experience reading music, and perhaps an overly difficult project to complete for the average pianist.Hope this helps :) P.S. the spiral bound is GREAT, and the cover is a smooth matte texture :)

Great book
Very well done Bill evans transcription book, I am enjoying seeing and playing Bill’s voicings and lines! The book is very accurate and I would recommend it. The material isn’t easy so I would say this book is more for advanced pianists— classical pianists will have fun with this book too :)

Great Bill Evans Collection from Hal Leonard
You get a complete collection of Bill Evans favorites. Pretty close to the originals which makes playing along fun.One big typo exists though...on page 247, they credit the wrong composer/writers & film for "Some Other Time." The famous version Bill always played (and what influenced "Peace Piece" and "Flamenco Sketches" was the version by Leonard Bernstein from the Broadway show "On The Town." In the book, they got it confused with the "Some Other Time" written for the movie "Step Lively" by Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne and famously performed by Frank Sinatra -- a completely different song.

Jazz study required
Great to study the Bill Evans style. Neat note for note transcriptions and chord symbols plus not to hard to play if you have good background in music.

challenging, but very enjoyable.
This book transcribes Evans' playing to the "nth" degree. In several instances some of the transcribing was a little bit ridiculous with some 32nd note septuplets or the occasional nested triplet which could be a tad tedious for some, but I actually found that this has made my ability to read music all the better. Also, the chord symbols above the chords are very helpful if you're upcoming in jazz studies and trying to understand jazz progressions. All in all, this is a great buy if you're looking for a challenge and some worthwhile jazz knowledge.

Very Impressed
Though some renditions of the songs I wanted to learn aren't the versions I wanted to play. They are still accurate and is provided with the album of the version the song is from. These songs of course are not easy if you are learning but of course at the end of the day, it's all about the time invested in practicing. I've been waiting for this book to release for months and now I have it, very happy with this purchase.

Great book
Had this a couple of days and love it already. A must for Bill Evans fans. The only criticism I have is that there are a few peculiar enharmonic choices in the transcription, mostly where A major chords have been notated with Db, but I can live with that.

Play along with Bill
Excellently presented and accurate transcription of bill Evans work. Playable; but sadly I'll never sound like bill

great value for lots of music
Transcriptions of actual performance , watch the genius in the act of creation . Well presented in clear font and spiral bound . Great value for the amateur pianist .

Good value if you can already play reasonably well.
It is loose leaf so stays open on the piano. Good printing, page turns not always in a good place, but that is almost impossible so no criticism. Overall, well worth the money. The content is excellent, with a broad choice of mood. But they are not for beginners.

Thumbs up
Good quality. Great transcriptions. Difficult to play for an amature though although I am slowly learning my first piece.
