The 250 best films ever made? Definitely not, but still a fun challenge.
When I bought this poster I was gonna re-watch all 250 films, including those that I was very familiar with (having seen them many times before), well, that quickly went out of the window! I underestimated how time consuming it would be. My plan was to watch the films with my family, but with everything else on TV, all the new films and well, life, then, we'd probably get through one a week. 5 years later...EDIT; I've removed most of the films I've seen, if I have a good memory of them, including the ones I haven't seen in over ten years like American History X. This is too time consuming otherwise. And there are many films I don't care to see again.WARNING: You need to be careful when scratching off the silver using the supplied black coin. If you're not very careful you'll take some of the picture off too, as I've done on a couple of occasions. I ruined The Exorcist's square, because underneath was grey, the same colour as the scratchable picture on top. I scratched too far and revealed the white poster underneath. I have fixed this by printing off a square myself (the film poster) from the internet and gluing it in place. You can't tell the difference. You could also colour in missing pieces. It does take a while to remove each square as the silver does not scratch off easily. A couple of the films underneath don't match which is annoying and Green Book is repeated twice (on the silver boxes.) Joker also has a fictional sequel for some reason. More care needed!I can't imagine you'll like all of these 250 films, they are critical darlings and many of them are divisive, love it or hate it films. Many of them contain extreme violence, bad language and sex. These films are certainly talking points. I personally don't like a huge amount of them but I love others on here. Film is subjective and this list will certainly divide opinion. I have favourite films that aren't on here and there are many that probably should be on here that aren't. See: The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Home Alone, Roman Holiday, Dr No, Miracle on 34th Street, Westside Story, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Rebel Without a Cause, Casino Royale et al. And personal preference, the underrated It Started with Eve.There are too many Nolan films on here, two too many Matrix films, and an Alien 3. There are also too many films that are similar, Tarantino films and Tarantino-esque films. I think these films are the top 250 IMDb films and well, the public has voted for them! Say what you will about that. There's no Captain America Winter Soldier, but Guardians of the Galaxy is here. I like Guardians but we all know which is the better film. There are far too many violent films, controversial films, which will divide opinion, and films that are hard to watch - like Schindler's List and Hotel Rwanda, they're supposed to be. Films that I put off watching and now I'm faced with them. You might wanna keep that in mind if you're more of a 12 certificate and under person. I regret watching The Exorcist again because I don't care for it and well, as someone who suffers from anxiety, the (sort of) subliminal images have a way of staying in my mind. I am grateful to the poster for finally allowing me to watch Chaplin's films, but there are no Marx Brothers or Laurel and Hardy on here. Shakes head. The general public, eh?You could print off your favourite films and replace the films you don't like, or buy another poster for the purpose of doing this. I will be sticking to the poster as is. I was gonna frame it afterwards but I've decided not to.EDIT: I've given up on the challenge, I had just over 100 movies left. The poster is flawed because sometimes part of the image underneath is scratched away, and I don't care for a huge amount of these films. They're not my best 250. Not even close.

Good, with a couple of flaws
This is a great product, it's easy to scratch off the silver without damaging the pictures underneath (I disagree with what other reviewers are saying, they must be scratching very hard!) It scratches off better than a similar product I've previously purchased. The little plastic coin is a nice inclusion. There are some flaws, The Green Book is on there twice, and it should be Howl's Moving Castle, not "The Moving Castle" . The odd/fake Joker 2 (2021) inclusion is luckily only printed on the silver layer, not the picture beneath, so will bemedied later this year, when that film is actually released!Hope there aren't more mistakes revealed after I've scratched off more.Overall, a good purchase

Great gift
This was a gift for someone who is working her way through the 250 and she is thrilled with it. The only thing I would say is that it should come with poster hangers, since it can’t very well be framed until all the titles are scratched off.

Great but flawed
Nice poster, well packaged. The poster includes a lot of Japanese/Art house films which I wasn’t expecting, also includes quite a few Charlie Chaplin and ore 1950 films which depending on your tastes may or may not be to your liking. You need to be REALLY careful when scratching the foil off, 2 of the pictures were damaged underneath which is a shame, I don’t know if this was my fault or a product defect.Looks great anyway and has certainly inspired me to watch a load of films I’ve never seen or never heard of!

Mediocre quality
Mediocre quality and some errors in the films listed. For example the joker is listed as having a sequel

Not Impressed
Been crossing out the films I've already seen, about 2/3rds through it so far.Crossed off Coco, was Seven Samurai underneathCrossed off The Sixth Sense, was Dog Days underneathCan't cross off Joker because, inexplicably, a sequel is included. A film that doesn't even exist. This is pretty shoddy work on a product that is otherwise well made. Considering returning it.
