Very accurate.
Installed on front porch, can see from inside. Could be bigger, but very accurate.

Inaccurate temperature readings
The thermometer is not accurate. It reads about 5 degrees higher than other thermometers when placed side by side. The degree markings are also so small they are very hard to read the temperature. When I tried to return it because it is defective the site said it is not eligible for return, but I could not determine why it is not eligible since it has only been 21 days since it was delivered. Fortunately it is only about $8 but it is still irritating to have to throw away a brand new product because it does not work.

Dirty/used/damaged straight out of a suspicious box
This product is ok. If you do not expect much, you can be happy enough with the purchase. Kudos where kudos are due, it was cheap and it is neat that the hygrometer is built right in. So the rest below are the negatives. So I'm writing this review about 5 minutes after opening the Amazon package, which was in a forgotten corner of my room for awhile. Pictures included are of the condition of the thermometer immediately after opening.I wasn't expecting much from a cheap thermometer from Amazon, and would never trust something like this for accurate readings I would rely on, but I was annoyed at how scuffed it was since it was sold "new."There is something fishy about this product. I would even suspect counterfeit, but it is not like it is trying to impersonate a reputable brand or anything. So why am I suspicious? The packaging. See the photo with the box. It is hard to make out in the photo, but on the box there is just a really poorly done, blurry, compressed, low resolution photo of the thermometer that was photo-shopped onto a generic white box. If it was a reputable manufacturer they should be able to easily get something better than what seems to be a 360p resolution screenshot. The rest of the packaging is also extremely basic, no logos and almost no text except "Thermometer & Hygrometer" and to state the temperature and humidity accuracy ranges (stated as -20-120F +/- 1.8F, and 1-99% +/-5%). And inside the unsealed box, the thermometer was just shoved in an unsealed plastic bag. Everything about suggests it probably was opened and used before, before being shoved back in for a return. There is no anti-tamper tape or anything. I could have made this sort of packaging. So let's talk about the fact that this was clearly used/damaged/dirty. The hygrometer. The clear plastic panel over the hygrometer was scuffed (was a mouse gnawing on it?), and there is a random scrap of white plastic floating around inside the face of it that can be seen. Also, I would not put this thermometer outside. The back of the hygrometer has many holes, presumably to allow the air humidity to reach the sensor, but rain could easily get in there. A little disappointing since I had hoped to stick this in a plant pot with a plant to help monitor growing conditions. There seems to be a coil of brass visible in the center, indicating this is the basic metal-paper coil type of hygrometer. The backside of the thermometer is gross, little orange streaks of mold or rust or ???. Time to bust out the bleach to purge whatever That is.Now let's talk about the thermometer design. It is surprisingly big and chunky. It is about 9.1 inches tall and about 0.5 inches thick on average, but the actual glass thermometer bit is just 4.75 inches tall, it is so tiny. It seems to be just glued in place by 2 dots of hot glue (it is ever so slightly crooked). The actual numbers and markings are nice and big and clear, which I approve of since you don't need to get too close to read it, but the actual thermometer is recessed deeply into the plastic so there is a good 2-3mm gap between the front of the plastic and the front of the glass, meaning you cannot even see the recessed glass thermometer part unless you are looking more or less head on. Perhaps this was a deliberate design choice to keep the thermometer shaded and not heated by sunlight? Also, the hole in the plastic for the thermometer bulb is much larger than the actual bulb for some reason, creating an awkward gap. Also, aside from the 20C and 60F which sit nicely on top of their lines, all the numbers are floating much higher above their indicated lines than they need to be; that created some initial confusion for me as I thought the numbers referred to the shorter indicator lines rather than the longer ones.I am afraid I cannot be that informative in terms of actual reading accuracy, since all I have is a Taylor thermometer and no hygrometer. As is, comparing the readings from the old Taylor and this one, side by side the Taylor read 66F while this one read 68F. The hygrometer did rapidly go up when I exhaled my humid breath onto it, and gradually went back down afterwards, so it seems to work. I cannot judge how accurate it is though, especially over the long term considering what might happen to the paper.
