Can anyone advise on what screws are needed as mine was delivered without?

I can't remember if it was assembled or not. However you should return it and get one with screws.

Can I buy with pre fixed wheels as I cannot do it.

Not as far as I am aware, however it comes with all the tools to fit the wheels and realistically all you need is a single adjustable spanner.

Is this good for university to unload your stuff into your flat?

I would say yes - it will go over most surfaces and door thresholds, fits into an elevator and stores flat.

For the 300kg, can anyone tell me how long the platform is from the bottom of the handle to the front of the platform i.e the usable length?

Off top of my head a pillow width but do note that wheels are too small for rough ground or grass
