Fantastic
I've been using Amazon for around 20 years and this is the best thing I've ever bought. Absolutely fabulous bread, as good as a proper bakery, and really easy to do. It takes literally a minute to put the ingredients in and almost no cleaning to do afterwards. I love the timer for fresh warm bread in the morning.

Great for rustic loaves
Superb bread maker. Super easy to use and creates fantastic loaves. Works really well with Cotswold flour (you can get it in Tesco). Comes with recipes to get you started. It’s a smidgen cheaper than buying bread but feels a lot healthier as you’re only adding flour and water with a pinch of salt, sugar and yeast. Highly recommend.

Baking Perfection with the Panasonic SD-YR2550SXC Breadmaker
The Panasonic SD-YR2550SXC Fully Automatic Breadmaker has revolutionized my baking routine, enabling me to create delicious, healthy bread twice a week with ease. Incorporating my favourite ingredients like sundried tomatoes and black olives has never been easier, thanks to this machine's intuitive design and functionality. One of the standout features of this breadmaker is its horizontal design, which not only saves counter space but also produces bread that closely resembles traditional loaves in shape and appearance. The inclusion of a yeast dispenser is a game-changer, ensuring that yeast is added at the optimal time during the baking process, resulting in perfect rise and texture every time. The variety of settings available on the SD-YR2550SXC is impressive, allowing for the creation of a wide range of bread types, doughs, and even jams. The ability to customise each bake to include healthy ingredients of my choice has been fantastic. The additional recipe book I purchased has been a great source of inspiration, introducing me to new recipes that the whole family enjoys. However, it's important to note that, like any kitchen appliance, there is a learning curve. One crucial step not to overlook is the replacement of the inside arm after cleaning. Missing this step can lead to a moment of panic, as I learned the hard way. Yet, once you get accustomed to the setup and cleaning process, it becomes second nature. The Panasonic SD-YR2550SXC is incredibly user-friendly, making it accessible to bakers of all skill levels. Whether you're an experienced baker or trying your hand at bread making for the first time, the controls are straightforward and the manual provides clear instructions. In conclusion, the Panasonic SD-YR2550SXC Breadmaker is a superb addition to any kitchen. It combines convenience with versatility, allowing for the creation of a wide variety of healthy, homemade breads. While there is a small learning curve, particularly with maintenance, the quality of the bread produced and the satisfaction of baking from scratch more than compensate for it. This breadmaker has certainly earned its place on my countertop, and I look forward to many more years of delicious baking adventures.

Excellent...except...
I had my first Panasonic bread maker about 35 years ago. It performed really well, almost daily, for about 15 years. By that time, other manufacturers had jumped on the bandwagon, and I bought a Morphy Richards model. Absolutely useless! So I then bought another Panasonic. Interestingly, the first one was about £300 (a lot of money back then) but the second one was about £100. It wasn't as good as the original, so I have been making all bread by hand fort nearly 20 years. I feel I've done my bit now, so I have gone back to Panasonic. It is just as good as the first one I had, all those years ago. The simple process came back to me immediately. Absolutely brilliant. So why haven't I given it 5 stars? A minor detail, but I do think it should include a full colour, good quality recipe book with it. There's loads of info available online and on YouTube (did you know you can make butter in this machine?) But a decent book is really an essential inclusion, I think.

A MUST buy for anyone who eats bread!
Incredible! Who knew you could make and bake a loaf of fabulous bread just by putting the ingredients into a bowl and pressing play?!Having faffed about in the past kneading and waiting for dough to rise and then kneading again and again, now I can sit back and relax (some more!) and have the bread made. Amazing technology. Why not make use of technological developments - we now use vacuum cleaners and dishwashers don't we - so why do we have to make life difficult to bake a loaf of bread.Could not be more pleased at how simple it is to use and how fantastic it is to have a lovely loaf of fresh bread every few days. It is much, much cheaper than store bought bread as well.May be some storage problems as it is quite large; also screen is difficult to view for someone not 6' tall but its benefits far outweigh those issues.

Consistently good bread
Bread making could not be any easier with this machine. It consistently makes good bread. The separate yeast dispenser means you don't accidentally have the yeast in contact with water and activate too early. The included recipe booklet contains a good number of pretty standard loafs. I found I have to use less water than the recipes suggest, to prevent the crust sagging, but with all machines and also with bread making, everyone's kitchen and atmosphere is different, so tweak your recipes if the bread doesn't come out well.It is a big machine though. Takes up a fair amount of space on the kitchen counter. It is a quiet machine as well.
