Smells to high heaven but any relief is temporary.
The smell will be with you longer than any pain relief.However, I used it as a distraction after I smashed my ankle (would spray my exposed toes) rather than scratch my cast off.Turns out I've lost feeling in most of my foot so......didn't work well there ;) but the cast survived.Used on a painful shoulder and it's OK but really, really briefly and then back to discomfort.
