No. It does not I personally have dandruff but otherwise no.

How bad is the itching?

This is supposed to assist with itching, not create it. I find that it soothes and assist in keeping scalp from being so dry and has a nice scent.

This product is good for cornrows. Keeps hair moisturized and stimulates growth.
