I saved a lot of money!
One of my fob's for my 2017 F150 Lariat had taken one too many falls on the ground. I had to start using glue to keep it somewhat working. Being retired and living on a tight budget I didn't have an extra few hundred dollars to purchase one from the dealer, then pay them to program it. So I thought "what if I could just purchase the shell of the fob and transfer the circuitry. Well to my surprise I found it on Amazon. I had to be patient aligning everything for it to close correctly but it works great! The only thing missing is the Ford Logo on the back, but you'll never notice a difference with the fob. I recommend using lithium batteries as well.

Great OEM Replacement
The key ring holder on my 2016 F150 Lariat on the fob had broken off. I had to use tape to keep it on, which made the panic button thicker, so it was always going off when I leaned against something. I was at vet holding my uncooperative dog, and the alarm went off, and I couldn’t reach down to turn it off. I had had enough. I went to the dealer, and they could only offer a whole new key fob, with programming would have been $250. This was a cost effective solution for a bad design.I used the circuit board from the original fob, and put it in the new fob. Two pieces on the original fob that the new fob didn’t come with was a small foam square used to press against the chip on the top of the circuit board, and the separator for the 2 batteries. I removed both pieces, and placed them in the new fob. I had to put a drop of glue on the foam piece to get it to stay in place. The new fob is identical to the original, and all functions work perfectly. The fit was a little tight, but no modification was needed.

Far better than the alternatives. Mod suggested.
I drive a 2016 F-150 Lariat, and I tried four different keyfob shells from different manufacturers/sellers on Amazon before settling on this one from KeyMall. This one is the ONLY one that fit together correctly after transferring over the internals. It's also the only one in which a design improvement was made and the metal ring loop at the bottom is fixed to the shell instead of being free-floating. The OEM version relied on hooks to stay in place, which snapped off after the first battery change, which is why I'm buying this in the first place. This model doesn't have that issue.Another reviewer mentioned the 'Panic button' regularly going off. I had this problem too, I think it's because the panic button and the respective silicon peg fit too tightly where the key kind of tapers down. I solved this problem by using scissors to cut off the panic button button silicon peg. This has resulted in the panic button no longer triggering the alarm on my truck, but it also doesn't work, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make to have a keyfob that doesn't make me feel like I drive a 90's Neon.

Good OEM replacement
Our 2017 F150 came with only one fob and we wanted another. Although not OEM, this one programmed without a problem. Note, you CAN program a fob yourself, but ONLY if you have two operating fobs. If, like me, you only have one you will need to hire a locksmith to program it. I've seen some comments indicating the fob was a replacement for a broken case. Amazon sells only the case if you have an operational control board (half the price and no programming)

Simple and Cost Effective Solution!
We had a fob (for a 2015 Ford Fusion Energi) with buttons that were barely working and a broken keychain hole. Replacing the fob would have cost us $249 at our local Ford dealer! So we thought we'd try this. It took minutes to make the replacement. Almost thought it couldn't be that simple. Just open your current fob, carefully remove the circuit board with batteries remove silicone barrier), then carefully place those into the new casing (comes with new silicone barrier). Literally worked immediately with no re-programming or anything else! CRAZY! We also bought a fob cover so this one doesn't get messed up.If your fob is messed up, but still basically works, you'd be crazy NOT to try this.

Clip that Locks Case Together Doesn’t Work
Complete disappointment. The internal components fit in the shell perfectly, but the plastic clip that controls the shell release button is not the same as the original. It is far too loose. It will not stay “locked” in place and the slightest brush against the button will release the button causing the shell to come apart. The original has a lot of tension and will not release unless you hold the button down and pull the shell apart.I would have returned the case for a refund but the issue I had with the old, original case (besides it looking worn and beat up) is that the plastic part where the key ring went on, cracked off. So I was able to use the original back of the shell with the new front to make one case that is complete. So for my immediate needs, I was able to make half the new case work with half my old case to suit my needs and get my remote back in order. For that reason, I will keep the case. But if you are looking for a full replacement case, you may need up being disappointed with the quality of the shell.

Looks good, but needs tweaking
Case looks like the original, but it doesnt click really easily when reassembled. I had to use the OEM rubber inserts to make it work when put back together. Otherwise its fine. But it took a lot of tweaking to make it consistently work

Swap The Silicone
I did what another reviewer said to do and used the old silicone from the original key and was able to close this shell up. It didn’t want to close with the included silicone. Buttons are a little stiff but I imagine they will get easier to push over time. Great value here - I hope it lasts.
