Great game with a little bit of a learning curve
The first two playthroughs were a little confusing. While the guide is well written, having to learn the general motions of the game is tricky. There are a lot of different cards to know what they do and when certain steps should be done. However, once you learn the ropes, it's stellar. By the thrid playthrough my group was arguing and plotting their way through the whole game. It's like a twisted version of Clue, with a more active strategy than quite information elimination. The game does a great job of capturing iconography and feeling of actually watching the movie. Throw on a looped playlist of Ennio Morricone score and you're basically in the film. While it probably isn't the best for those just getting into board games, it's so much fun. Even if you haven't seen the film, I would imagine it would be a great time.

Wish I had friends closeby
This game is so much fun! Unfortunately it has to be played by at least 4 people (almost impossible with just 3 players). The more players the better. A lot of chances for multiple players to get infected, easier to disguise yourself as the infected when there are more people

Very fun game!
This game is so fun! It is way better with larger groups over 5. Make sure someone in the group likes reading instructions and informing the group.

I never had this much fun lying to my friends in my life!
If you have a large group of friends with a great sense of humor, this game is for you. The hidden imitation feature is amazing and exactly what our group loves. Every time we play this game it gets more interesting, we've had people point fingers at each other, given each other dirty looks, jaws hit the floor, screamed in excitement that we passed a mission, and we loved every minute of it. Once the game is over we can sit and talk for 20 minutes on who did what, who covered their tracks, and who sabotaged who. Even when we meet on our next game day we still bring up situations that happened in this game. I recommend playing with at least 6-8 people, less than that makes it a little easier to figure out the Thing. This game was worth every penny for our gaming group, cause it showed us how much we all love to lie to one another.

Fun game
This game is more about player interaction than it is about the actual gameplay on the board. The game is very simple once you learn it. Very easy for the Thing(s) to win if you donβt have more that four players. Lots of fun and is pretty true to the 1982 movie.

Game great, parts not so great. Exchanged.
The game itself is great. Some of the components however left something to be desired. The inner box is warped and some miniatures were put together poorly. Got an Exchange. They sent me new miniatures, the inner box was new, and everything is there. I'm grateful.

Fan of the movie? Get this game!
First impression - amazing detail from the box to the board to the well made figures! I wish we could use the board as a picture on the wall, it's pretty cool looking. Game pieces are well made and very detailed -- we plan to custom paint ours so they show the real life detail of the characters.Don't be intimidated by the very extensive instructions. There's a couple videos on YouTube that we found that explain it well enough to get us started. Once the game gets going, you'll get the hang of it real quick. The booklet is always a good quick reference.Play with as many people as you can!Throw John Carpenters Thing on TV as background soundtrack as you play this... you'll feel like you're there at the Outpost with a flame thrower trying to manage your paranoia... π₯ππΈπ§
