Trying to get my dog to take his medicines was always a major problem. No way was I going to get him to swallow ANY pill and when I tried to hide them in his food he would always find them and spit them out. This pill crusher has been a life saver. It grinds his pills into a very fine powder and when I sprinkle it into his food he doesn't even know it. So easy to operate - just pop the pill in, twist the top and it grinds the pills perfectly every time. This has been a time saver and a life saver!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have small, weak hands and I need to take some huge pills. This one completely pulverizes them with minimal effort. It is a bit big but that makes it more effective.

This pill crusher is simply amazing! It's easy and simple to use and makes quick work of crushing large pills down to a powder form. One of the pills my hubby has to take is very large. We don't even cut it up, just put it in the cup portion and use the crusher part as instructed. It's so easy. I wish we had purchased it months ago!

I used the small crusher for a few months, & it was pretty great. It does require a decent amount of force, & I’d have to untwist & recrush about 5 times to get it all the way down to pure powder. Still much easier than using a mortar, & I was happy with it. But I recently left it behind on vacation, & had to buy a new one. This time got a large version from a box store, & it’s wayyyy easier to twist, & it crushed to powder in 1-2 twists. So if you’re looking for ease of use, the larger one is def the way to go. I will reorder the smaller one to use for travel though.

Now, firstly; don't expect this to grind up soft pills. This is for hard pills, like a non-coated aspirin. Heavily coated hard pills will grind, but not to a powder; you'll have bits of 'skin' scattered around. I love the thing! They could have made it a little longer so you don't clash knuckles when you use it, but it works great.

This tool is marvelous! I had to give my cat a week's worth of antibiotics, and there was no way he would take the pills whole. This item efficiently and quickly ground the pills so I could add them to my cat's food...voila! Problem solved!

The pills I need to crush are large and strong. To hide the pills in my dog meals the pills must be reduced to fine dust. After 6 or 7 cycles I can crush the pills to a fine powder however even more fine would be much preferred. If the pill pieces are sand size my dog will detect it and refuse.I'll go back to my original method. Fold a paper in quarters. Smash with medium size soft face hammer until pill is a fine dust. At least the pill crusher is quieter method.Cream Cheese is a wonderful way to hide dog pills, unlike gravy it does not pick up the taste of the pill. However if a pill upsets my dogs tummy he will quit taking even cream cheese.Alleluia is a 130# black lab and quite clever. A dog half his size I can force a pill. He has a head larger than a volley ball and one might force him to take a pill one or twice but not every morning.UPDATE: This morning Alleluia started his thyroid pills which are small and not super firm. On those this pill crusher does a fine job, so you results achieve are dependent on the pills you need to crush.

This is a game changer. The price was cheap. The build quality is good and very easy to use. It even has a storage on top for extra pills.
