Q: Where the ear hook meets the base, it is lose and it doesn't stay in place. I have gifted this Bluetooth a few times. Does that happen to everyone?

I had the same problem with this bluetooth. It is heavier and feels bulky. Doesn't stay in place in the ear. The buds don't fit the natural ear. I only kept it as a back up. I use the Plantronics E50. The most comfortable bluetooth for the ear in my opinion.

Q: Is this earpiece as good as the old Plantronics that look like this?

The earpiece is turned wrong I had to pull it off and re glue it, for the price it's a good headset not as technical as the Plantronics

Q: Does this play music?

I don't know. But I am not pleased with it at all. I keeps disconnecting with the phone. It sounds tinny. I wouldn't recommend this to any one.
