Works well for plumbing
I ordered this part for a plumbing project requiring CPVC. One end of the fitting is a socket that glues onto a 3/4 inch CPVC pipe. The other side of the adapter is a 3/4 inch brass threaded male fitting. The thread is smooth and made well. The product description says the fitting is safe for drinking water. Great part at a good price.

Perfect for water heater connection
CPVC parts are getting harder to find at the local stores as PEX takes over. I got this for making the transition to supply the water heater. Prior fitting had been plastic threaded and with the increasing brittleness due to age I needed to upgrade to metal threads to minimize chances of failure.

The best CPVC to metal adapter
I've used these adapters for years to convert CPVC pipe to fit with metal pipes or valves. The photo is of a typical application thats about 10 years old. The metal valve shows more age than the adapter. I can't recall a single failure as long as a few precautions are taken. Throw out the teflon tape and apply pipe dope to the thread end of the adapter. Use the correct primer and glue on the CPVC end and give it adequate drying time one assembled. It's the least likely to leak, adapts to multiple uses, the quality of fit is good for a long lasting joint, and the price is good.

Don't take a chance
If it doesn't fit, the company puts you in an auto-catch-22 where you have to pay the price of the item to return it. In all my years with Amazon, this is legit l, the first item I haven't had a free option to return. Will never use any x fitting projects for my plumbing project now.
