Q: Does this work with a Fender Princeton 65?

The footswitch is only for the Fender Mustang GT Series has the series are modelling amps.

Q: Will this work with the GTX50?

It should be as foot switches are generally compatible over the range of amps, i.e. the GT series. I know that this foot switch comes free with the GT 100 but not sure about the GTX50. If in doubt query it on the Fender website. It is a lovely foot switch with various assets including a built in loop pedal which I have had some fun with. Have fun.

Q: The tuner function on my mgt-4 will not work. the instructions say depress and hold, but when i do this the pedal disconnects itself - all leds dead

I came here looking for this question because I had a similar problem. I then tried other solutions and discovered that when the tuner function is active ALL LEDS go dead as you describe - then if you pluck a string (with sufficient volume on your bass) the LED's light up to show flat sharp or in tune.
