Love it
I've finished watching every episode now and thoroughly enjoyed all of them, some of which I hadn't seen before. I presume that they were classed as a little too risqué to be broadcast during the daytime on terrestrial television during the day. Brilliant!

Holy Crap!
Being a HUUUUGE fan of Frank Barone, and almost every character on the show, I gotta recommend this show for anyone who appreciates sitcoms set in (a)typical American home environment, because I'm sure that almost everyone will be able to find some parallels with his/her own life while watching it. If I would categorize sitcoms into ensemble-sitcoms (e.g. Friends, Seinfeld, Boston Legal, Ally McBeal) and family-sitcoms (ELR, King of Queens), I would place ELR on the very top of the latter list. There are almost no moments when you would roll your eyes and ask yourself "what the hell am I watching", and considering there are less and less above-average sitcoms lately, that's not something to sneer at. Having bought this, you're going to have before you 9 seasons of fun, particularly if you appreciate family-set sitcoms, with witty content, situations and one-liners that actually make you roar with laughter. If you do, look no further; just click, and Barones are coming your way in this simple, well-prepared and sturdy boxset set that will last for a long time.

We really did love Raymond and his oddball family
To be honest the parallels between Raymond's family and mine were very uncomfortably close, except mine were not quite as hilarious, with Ray Romano as Raymond ably supported by Patricia Heaton (The Middle) as his wife Debra and Brad Garrett as his brother Robert and the sadly departed pairing of Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle as his out of control parents this was a show for all ages, with real life brothers and sister the Sweetlyn kids were perfect as the Barone children who although never the focus of the show were reliable and funny/sweet when required.Every 22 minute episode was crafted to perfection and was never less than lough out loud funny, and during these troubled and weird times we all need to be able to laugh, join me and love Raymond too.

Brilliant
I saw a few of these programmes on Channel 4 when I was ill for a few days last year. They must have been from the middle of the series. So far we are on the second series and the standard of writing and performance are great right from the start. I really cannot understand why this programme wasn't a hit. So far, there seem to be 20 plus shows in each series, and eight series in this collection. Fantastic value for £44.

A brilliant series
All of family life is shown in these series. Brilliantly written. Very funny. Can, and are watched over and over again, never getting bored. If you're feeling a bit down the comedy in these situations will lift you.
