Accurate, smooth finish.
I like this set! Good quality, works great. Tad difficult to figure out proper alignment of blade teeth to get best cut, but the finish in hardwoods has been excellent once I got it right.

Finally took the plunge - Not Router...
I am a hobbyist, but did get a scholarship in woodworking. A router is probably the most versatile tool in any shop, especially if you have a table and mine is no different getting considerable use. My, my dado's, rabbets, etc. were always done on my router table. While I said it is the most versatile, it also means you need to be on your game in terms of router usage and depending on what you want to do, this sometimes means you enter the dangerous climb cut territory as to decrease tear out. I just finished building bathroom cabinets and now, I am building some barn doors. Since I am dealing with 8/4 knotty alder, and I will be renovating my kitchen cabinets as well so I started investigating again. My deal is that I buy the best because I want them to last. My tools, bits and blades reflect that as well, but I did not want to spend $300, hence why I did not have a dado set. Well, I found this, being Freud, I decided to give it a shot and return it if I did not like what I saw.Well, it is impressive. 6" scared me, but thinking through the years, I never needed a dado or groove deeper than an inch, and these blades give more to me, so... In theory, 6" also gives you a little more power, but I have a nice Jet Cabinet saw, so no worries there. Using the set is a pleasure, cutting like butter, no vibration or noise with a very sharp cut. It gives a perfectly flat cut, so that hits my number one requirement for quality in cut. It comes with many spacers as well, even with the thickness stamped, so very helpful. The case is also important as well as it protects your investment and ensures you don't lose parts. If there is a complaint, I would prefer it if it was keyed so you cannot put carbide against carbide. As long as you pay attention when tightening the arbor you will be fine; it only takes a couple seconds to confirm all is well before you tighten.Like another reviewer, the template is inaccurate. The reality though is that we all tend to use just a couple different patterns, so grab the calipers, figure it out, and never worry about it. solid, vs, ply, vs. mdf, vs. melamine are all different, so just create a template for each. There is really no way around this and if you woodwork to any capacity, you do this with everything. Setting tooling up to be square and accurate is the most important step anyway, and if you skip it, you will constantly fight it and your project will show it. So, it's something you should have accepted long ago and if there are two tips I give to everyone who asks me how I do it, I say patience and tool setup. You don't need to have the best tools, but they do have to be setup perfectly. That was free, LOL.

Excellent dado set
These are excellent. Clean cuts, plenty of shims to set up the width of cut exactly as needed. Nice carrying case as well.

Affordable, gets the job done! PM2000B
I bought this for my Powermatic PM2000B table saw.Pros:- Fits my Powermatic PM2000B table saw. 5/8" Arbor- Comes with Shims- Comes with a table that helps with setup on width of your cuts- Great cut quality (no tear outs) super smoothCons:- Arbor size is almost exactly the same size so getting the blades on and off is a hastle.- No instructions for blade setup- Little priceyGreat product overall. Was happy it worked for my Powermatic Table Saw. First time using Dado's so it'll be nice to up my projects and have better joinery.

Exceptional bang for the buck
It was time to replace my 30 year old Systematic dado set. I reluctantly purchased this set knowing that it is not the top of the line set from Freud. I've used the set a dozen or so times in the last few weeks and I am thoroughly impressed. Big chunky carbide teeth that will last many sharpenings. I have not found any issue with the way the blades, chippers or spacers fit on the 5/8 arbor. Perfect fit with no difficulty whatsoever getting them on and off. I've had no issue with achieving the exact width desired, although it does require some intuitive understanding of how the set is designed. Highly recommend

Precision and Power in One Blade
The Freud SD208S Diablo 8-1/2" saw blade is hands down the best investment I’ve made for my table saw. From the moment I installed it, the difference in cut quality was night and day. The laser-cut stabilizer vents reduce vibration, giving me smooth, splinter-free cuts in hardwoods, plywood, and even tricky materials like MDF.

This fit my Ridgid R4513 table saw perfectly!
I'm a novice home woodworker and needed a dado set. This can be a big investment so I made sure to read a lot of reviews before making my decision. Even though this dado set is more expensive than a lot of other sets I decided to go with this Freud 8inch Stacked set due to reputation, quality and reviews. I almost went with another brand that was about half as much in price but I kept coming across people saying that they wished they had spent the extra cash to get a better quality dado set due to issues they were having. With that said I got this one and after using it for 2 projects I'm very happy with my purchase. Simply put this dado set is definitely a high quality product that can be seen the first time you handle it. I was first overwhelmed on how to install this since I've never used one but after watching a few videos the overwhelmness quickly left. I'm not going to say the instructions are perfect because they are not. The first time I used this I was using the 2 blades and 2 chippers and didn't realize I put on one of the chippers the wrong way, with the teeth facing the wrong way. I actually cut about 6 boards with it this way til I realized what I had done. I take a lot of responsibility in this mistake but I think the instructions could have been more detailed in emphasizing the importance of blade placement of the chippers, especially when you're a rookie and have never used one. The dado set was not damaged at all, in fact the cuts I made didn't even show any ill effect. Now I know! I still give this set 5 stars and money well spent. Once you use a dado set you'll never go back to trying to use your regular saw blade to cut dados and such.

The customer service exceeded my expectations. Perfect for buying products you can't find elsewhere.
Freud's quality and craftsmanship in a stacked dado set, but at a wobble dado price. The negative hook angles make flat botom grooves and virtually splinter-free cuts. It has two outer blades with five two wing chippers. This makes it ideal for underpowered saws because it requires less power to feed. All blades come with Freud's anti-kickback design. This set will produce grooves from 1/4\" to 13/16\" in 1/16\" increments. This set comes with shim set and carrying case as well as instructions on how to make basic dado sizes. Feature Freud's Tico Hi-Density carbide.
