Tastes like butterscotch candy
I really wanted to like this because its from Scotland and had a cool bottle, so I was quite primed to like it. And then, yeah, the taste. I'm not sure if whoever invented this has ever had a whisky. Whisky has heather and honey and salt and smoke and it has a bite. This stuff tastes like a butterscotch candy from you grandmothers purse that is sweat and generally good but also has a strange funk to it. Like butterscotch mixed with a rather aged orange and maybe some purse lint.I get we're ten years out, at least, from creating anything palatable and resembling whisky, so good first effort I suppose, and please keep trying because this is not the end point.

Whiskey without the Bite
Taste is a subjective thing; I will not attempt to describe the flavor profile of the product other than to indicate that it does indeed taste like a scotch. Instead, I'll speak as a person who loves all aspects of whiskey-- both the flavor and the burn-- but who had to abandon alcohol for my health. My expectations for this product were low. I love whiskey immensely, and I once even took pride in such things like an ability to roughly estimate the mash bill of a whiskey after a few sips. But this product has no mash bill. It is not a whiskey. It's an imitation. With this is mind, I ask only for an approximation. Something to remind me of the feeling of drinking after a long day of work, but without any of the risks associated with alcohol. This product does (almost) exactly that. It tastes enough like a whiskey to enjoy with just a little ice and to forget that it is not liquor in my hand, but a harmless substitute. That said, I personally appreciate the burn of alcohol. This product delivers zero burn, and thus doesn't really feel like drinking whiskey without a little modification. I find that spices such as red pepper (and the stuff used in products like Ritual's tequila) do a poor job as those linger in a way unlike ethanol. But I find that some ginger extract helps to roughly approximate the alcohol burn that I still love. So I always mix a bit of that in my drink.Wonderful product. I hope whiskey substitutes like this one continue to be produced. Perhaps one day we'll get one that gives the same sort of bite that alcohol does . But until then, this is will be my standby.

Tastes like vomit!
I've had real whiskey/whisky, and I've had variations of non-alcoholic offerings. This product has a cool bottle, and the color is reminiscent of whiskey. However, it both smells and tastes like vomit. The flavor is a horrible blend of honey and something acidic. I could see what they were trying to go for, but the end result made it taste like puke. I tried having it cold over ice, in a mocktail with lime juice + simple syrup, or even adding some pepper flakes + cinnamon to distract my taste buds...while these alterations did improve the taste ever-so-slightly, there was still the remaining puke flavor left on the palate. I'm going to (try to) finish drinking it because I hate wasting money, but I won't buy this again. Yuck!

nothing like whiskey or scotch BUT the company's customer service is Excellent
UPDATED REVIEW December 5, 2023The distributor reached out to me a few days ago after reading my review (below) and offered me a full refund. That gesture really impressed me. Customer service is part of the grading.Let your guests decide on the taste.I suggest for your next holiday party that you offer this non-alcoholic beverage as an alternative to the alcoholic ones for the designated drivers. The pretty decanter bottles should themsesves be a conversation piece.PREVIOUS REVIEW: This alcohol-free overpriced whiskey liquid was created a few years back and by December 1, 2023, should have been tweaked to taste similar to its alcohol whiskey cousins. Not the case for this burnt-tasting dish-water blend. Over the years, I refined my whiskey tasting to a good Jonny Walker sipping Scotch. I know what is bad=tasting whiskey. Sipping this disgusting non-alcoholic Glan Dochus drink was a real way to take the "Merry" out of the current holidays. Oh yes, I did give this muddy blend a one-star because its bottle resembled a real bottle of Jonny Walker Scotch.

Horrible. Undrinkable
Ugh. I've long been a fan of NA beer and I love whiskey, but not the after affects. After hearing raves about NA gin, a few folks mentioned NA whiskey. After reading reviews I settled on to this. Note: I do not have great palate and typically drink cheaper scotch, but I know what decent whiskey tastes like.I was expecting to have to adjust my taste a bit, as I did for some NA beers, but this was horrible. Undrinkable. It left a horrible taste in my mouth. I put it away thinking it was the moment or whatever I ate prior. Days later, I tried it again. I could not finish the glass. A day later I tried a third time, and then poured it all down the drain. Do not buy. It's an insult to NA brands.
