I'm a beginner matcha enthusiast, and naturally came upon hojicha while getting acquainted with matcha, testing various brands on Amazon. While I do love the green, vegetal, grassy taste of matcha, I REALLY love the nutty, roasty toasty chocolatey taste of roasted matcha; aka hojicha.Now I will say I have not tasted any other hojicha brands to compare this to, so I really have no reference point for what is considered good, bad, or mediocre hojicha. However that being said I find this stuff to be a great introduction to it in my amateur opinion. It's affordable, tastes great, blends perfectly with a matcha whisk or electric milk frother, and in a pinch I've even used a fork!It tastes absolutely devine in a hojicha latte with milk and sweetener (if any) of your choice. My preferred method is to prepare it like matcha with the bamboo whisk, but add a teaspoon or so of cocoa powder and a healthy pinch of cinnamon! The flavors go together so well. The drink in the photo attached is a hojicha latte with peanut butter cream on top! Tasted like a Reese's cup in a glass. Heavenly! Just take some heavy cream and a spoonful of peanut butter, sprinkle of sugar if you want, hit it with a milk frother and BAM. Delicious, thick, luscious creamy peanut butter cream to dollop atop your hojicha and cocoa latte. Thank me later!

The hojicha powder is good, I bought one before and just stocked up for two more. The flavor is pretty good, and it tastes the same as the ones I had at ramen restaurants. The powder dissolves better with hot water, but cold water does the trick, too. I often mix it with 2% milk and ice cubes, and it tastes great!

I make a matcha nearly everyday and can confirm this stuff is amazing. Vibrant, supper smooth and can’t beat the price

I'd tried Matcha tea years agand strongly disliked it. I wanted to try this tea as the caffeine content is lower while having health benefits. I expected to hate it. I used Almond milk and honey. I loved how creamy it tasted with a hint of a chocolatey? taste. I will be drinking it often. Soothing going down.

Absolutely incredible quality!! The color, even down to the smell, is king compared to other matcha I have tried. I HIGHLY recommend this product! Just made my first matcha latte with it and I'm in love!!

Easy to use, bright green coloring. As someone new to the matcha world this was the perfect first time buy for easy at home matchas!

Good taste, with just a little it wakes me up. One thing when shipping. It should be bubble wrap so bag doesn't creases.
