Quite hard, which might appeal to some but I chose it because it was advertised as being a ‘soft’ roller, which I guess it is compared to the hard plastic ones with studs on but this wasn’t soft enough for what I wanted.

I was looking for for soft and gentle roll. And this really good

I already had a quite firm roller, I purchased this one as the description clearly said "sort roller" and "firmness: soft" in the product details.It is not particularly soft at all, if I kneel on it with my full body weight on it it compresses by about 2cm.Apart from that it's a decent enough product.

As you’ll see from the image, first time use and it’s bent already :-(
