A nice improvement on a well-remembered tool.
I remember Exacto knives from when I was a young typesetter and we had to do pasteup. This one is fancier, with a nice ergonomic rubber grip and good cap to keep me safe, but otherwise seems the same. No pasteup boards nowadays but this comes in handy, with such a thin sharp blade for lots of things, most notably getting those pesky plastic wrappers off dropper bottles and other bottles, labels that seal boxes, and other packaging. (Though I use a box cutter for bigger jobs.) I don't use it a lot — still on my first blade — but very glad to have it in the house. I'd welcome other more visible colors, as it gets a bit obscured on my desk.

Worth it for the grip.
I previously had a cheap knockoff x-acto knife that was solid metal that just killed my hand during long use. Glad I spent the few extra dollars for something a little more ergonomic. (And yes the cap doesn't hold on super tight but this isn't an issue for me personally)

Great comfortable to use with a HORRIBLE cap
The cap is the Achilles heel of this otherwise great and comfortable to use knife. Unless I tape the cap on, it falls off in my tool kit and either the tip gets damaged or it cuts something else. X-ACTO, please fix this one thing.

The best!
Exactos are the best of this type of knife. This one is great. It has a cushioned hand area with texture at the grip point so you can keep a good handle on it. It comes with one blade in it and 3 extra blades which are stored in the back under a screw on cap. It's great to have these right on hand if your blade gets dull in the middle of a project. Also nice is the protective cap to cover the blade currently in use. These are perfect for cutting any kind of paper, photos, illustration board and a host of other things. If you want the best, buy exacto.

Perfect for package opening and finer cutting.
Mostly use this as a package opener and it's perfect. Used for about a month and still super sharp. Grip is way more comfortable than your standard X-acto blade. Also works quite well for scraping solder mask off or removing strongly adhered stickers. Great little tool to have around.

NOT SAFE! Blade doesn’t tighten.
The media could not be loaded. The rubber grip is not attached to the knife shaft so no matter how hard you try to twist the shaft and tighten the blade it slips and doesn’t get tight. The blade can be easily pulled out by hand. IT’S NOT A SAFE KNIFE as the blade is loose and can come out while cutting. Sending this one back to exchange for another one to see if maybe this one was just defective. Will post an update once I get the replacement.UPDATE 1/13/2025: I received a replacement knife, and this seems to works fine. I'm able to tighten the blade and it stays in and doesn't move. So far so good. However, I'm now nervous about over-tightening in case this causes the glue holding the grip to separate from the tightening shaft, and then I end up with what I had on the first knife which was a rubber grip that just twisted freely and wouldn't tighten the blade. Fingers crossed this one stays intact. The design is great with the comfortable grip and the blade storage. I just need it to do it primary duty which is to first be a solid and safe knife.

Great craft knife
Great craft knife. It has rubber grip that is nonslip. It feels good in the hand. In comparison with no grip Xacto knife, it larger and the blade is a bit taller. Comparing them to Westcott knife, Xacto knives feel a little better in the hand. This knife also comes with extra blade that is stored inside the knife. Overall, is very good. Recommended.
