Product works well and is exactly what I needed to engrave my Mother’s Day gifts!!

overall its good for small projects or light duty engraving. This is only the 2.5w laser. I would personally recommend the 10w version if you do get one. That said, I went through and attempted to complete a firmware upgrade and it failed. I have been working with lasers and andrino / pi boards for many years and the error that I received was due to the board not able to boot into the correct bootloader state. Long story short, the board was not booting into a mode that would allow it to accept a firmware to be written. I messaged support and they did go through most of the basic troubleshooting to attempt to resolve typical issues but none of the troubleshooting actually addressed the error message that clearly stated the Board was not in the correct mode. I do believe if I were to continue with troubleshooting they would likely replace the device. That being said, it does work out of the box, i was just attempting to upgrade the firmware as per directions on their site.It works out of the box and I was able to engrave within about 30 min of unpacking. I would say this would be a good super beginner laser that is moderately easy to use but again, i would recommend the 10w version if its in your budget.

The media could not be loaded. Fun little machine and accurate right out of the box. I have a couple laser engravers and use this one for smaller projects. Great beginner machine to learn laser engraving and it’s a great value for the money. With its smaller size it fits right on the corner of my desk.As for functionality I use this machine to do aluminum business cards, anodized bracelets and occasionally wood coasters for our family business.

Terrible

It will not engrave most of the stuff it says it will. Honestly you’d be better off spending the extra 100 on the 10 Watt.HOWEVER the sellers are extremely awesome people and were very kind to let me return it. I will be buying the 10 watt very soon!

This thing was so bad to unbox and setup. Instructions are terrible and the file organization does not match the instructions. Usbc did not work. Not to mention it says in the title it can etch metal, and this could not even make a scratch in metal at full power. Returning for sure

So this was my introduction into laser printing. The instructions were okay, could have been better. It did take me a bit of trial and error to figure out. My first cut I messed up and accidentally cut the tray. I've used it a few times since and I feel like each time I am learning something new each time.
