I bought this so I could take forward-looking videos from my car while driving....with my iPhone 16 Pro. I attached it to the front window and attached my iPhone 16 Pro to the magnetic band. All looked good. I then started video recording....about 2 seconds after starting the video recording, this iPhone stopped recording. So, I pressed the record button again...same result...stopped recording video after about 2 seconds. And I noticed the iphone started heating up...but my charger was not plugged in. So, I detached the iphone and tried recording video without it being attached to the magnetic holder...same result...stopped recording after about 2 seconds. I rebooted the iphone...same result. So, I tried it again about an hour later....the iphone recorded properly. So, I reattached the iphone to the magnetic holder...same result...stopped recording after about 2 seconds. I tried it all again the next day....first tried recording video on my iphone without attaching to the magnetic holder...worked/recorded fine. I then attached my iphone to the magnetic holder....the iphone stopped recording after a couple seconds. So, it seems whatever problem my iphone is having seems to start after attaching the magnetic holder. The instructions say to attach a special (included) ring if your phone or case is not magsafe...this is an iphone 16 Pro...it is indeed magsafe. So, I'm returning it and will look for another solution. Too bad....I really liked how this holder mounted cleanly to my front window. Oh well.UPDATE: I've since discovered the problem with the video recording stopping is an issue between my iphone and carplay...not this phone holder. Once I discovered the real source of my issue...this phone holder works great. It's a very clean device to stick to the front windshield. Many of the other window phone holders were up to 10 inches long hanging down from the windshield...a very "unclean" look. So, I changed my rating to 5 stars.

Mount works perfectly with my quad lock mag safe case. I wanted a non quad lock mount because they’re a little too expensive for what they are and being limited to using their cases or adapter. My old quad lock mount broke and the parts weren’t being made anymore so rather than spend $60 I spent around a third of that on this mount which will work with any mag safe case and even if you don’t have that, they include a metal plate to attach to your phone case. This kit comes with everything you need for a perfect instruction. Mine needed the extra adhesive pad due to the texture of my car dash but it works and sticks really well. This mount is super secure and I’m happy with the the quality especially for the price. The best part is now I can use different phone cases without having to worry about having the right adapter on my case. I appreciate how easily compatible this is with literally any phone case with mag safe and even having additional tools to use for non mag safe cases. My only feedback for improvement would be if they offered a longer arm or adjustable arm to have the phone a little closer to me but it’s honestly perfect for me as is.

I've had many phone holders over the years and they've all had fatal flaws - clips that are too short to hold in the air vents, too heavy for the stand to stay in place, or a spring mechanism that breaks from being on a hot dashboard.This phone holder has a very good design. Stable base with an option of having the phone over the base (less likely for the whole thing to tip over with time). The arm swivels on the base and the arm itself has two hinges that can actuate. This allows you to put the phone in almost any position.I have a regret in where I initially positioned it. Had I thought about it more, I would have placed it closer to the front of the dashboard so I would have a secondary option of having the arm hang down over the vents. I've had other holders fall over in this setup over time, but I think this one is light enough that it should be ok in that position.Overall, live the flexibility of this holder and it looks nice as well.
