Coast of Maine Bar Harbor Blend (16qt) Organic and Natural Potting Soil for Houseplants, Flowers, Vegetables, Herbs and Containers

I have used this soil to repot multiple houseplants in the past few months. This is my second bag so far. This soil feels so much healthier than other soil brands I have purchased. It is very lightweight and is also organic, which is great. This soil is dark in color, so to gauge when to re-water plants, I definitely go by feel as it is hard to visibly tell. My plants have done excellent so far in this soil, I have not had a casualty yet. All are thriving and very healthy. And, this is the first potting soil that I have not had an issue with gnats sprouting from.

I originally bought this product locally and loved it because of how my seedlings thrived in it. I ordered two bags from Amazon and if I hadn't seen the bag it arrived in, I'd have asked what kind of a joke it was. The product felt as though someone swept up the floor and just threw in any old junk and called it potting soil. The compost wasn't fully composted, it felt dry as though there were plastic shreds in it and worse I counted on it for my plants and they aren't responding well to it.

Good soil. Plants seems to like it very much.

Potted plants thrive with this dark, rich soil

I'm now a fan of this mix. Side by side plants potted in this are much bigger and healthier looking than plants potted in a well known potting soil. Next season I'll be using this for my containers.

Love this dirt. Even has a slight scent of the ocean. Or maybe I'd like to think it does! In any case, it's wonderful. My plants love it. Rich, dark soil. Yum.
