The pricing shows $12.99 then ($0.13/count) which means 13 cents per packet - except 13 cents times 50 packets is $6.50. Is this for 2 boxes?

Thank you for notifying us. We recently had to change to a new vendor for making the Coffee Tamer packets. This also required us to make larger packets increasing the amount from 200mg to 400mg for each packet. In order to keep the price the same for a box we reduced the number of packets from 100 to 50 packets. People that used to use two packets in a cup of coffee now only have to use one. When we made the change on Amazon not everything changed as expected. We are trying to get this corrected with Amazon. The count should be ($0.26/count). There is another hold out that still refers to the box as 100ct packets. Thank you again. We are hoping we can get the correction made soon.

Does this work for people with IC?

I don't know. I use it to cut down on the acid in coffee for my acid reflux condition. It works beautifully for that.

Potassium Hydroxide is the 2nd ingredient. Research tells me that that is highly corrosive and harmful. What’s the story here?

"In food products, potassium hydroxide acts as a food thickener, pH control agent and food stabilizer. The FDA considers it (as a direct human food ingredient) as generally safe when combined with "good" manufacturing practice conditions of use." You will find Potassium Hydroxide in many commercially available foods.

The box says the granules don’t dissolve. So when I drink that last bit of coffee from the cup, am I getting a mouthful of granules?

No, I've never had problems with the granules not dissolving. Perhaps it depends on how hot the coffee is when you pour it. I like it hot and I usually have to microwave it because my husband makes it early. By the time it comes out of the microwave it's all dissolved. I have IC and its the only way I can drink a cup of coffee.
