I have now purchased 3 of these books for elderly relatives. It is perfect -- it's larger than the usual 5X7 books, so it is easier for elderly hands to hold. It also lays flat, so they don't struggle to hold it open. The print is large and the searches are interesting. All three recipients have loved this book.

This book really adds game to its word searches. It as an element of challenge that is unusual in finding the words. Somewhat like you're treasure hunting with excitement. It also has a few number searches in it as well. The number searches weren't as hard as I thought they would be. I really like the challenge of the number puzzles and wish there were more included. Another element of this book is that the puzzle is not always in a square. The shape of the puzzle many times corresponds with the title of the search. This book adds spice to its puzzle challenge. Very different and very engaging. Yes, the print is large and good too.

love the big letters

I love doing word search puzzles, especially in the middle of the night when I get up from tossing and turning in bed with insomnia, and come back out to the living room, snuggle up on the sofa and grab my word search book. This one is one of the best I’ve ever purchased. I love the spiral binding, which makes it so easy to turn the pages. I also love the quality of paper in this book. I like to use ballpoint pen when doing a word search puzzles, and so many of the other books I have purchased have inferior quality paper that my pens won’t even write on. This one is a breeze! The puzzles themselves are slightly more challenging than some of the super easy ones I have done. I personally prefer a challenge, so am very happy with this one. I am hoping this namebrand company has several others to choose from because when I am finished with this book, I hope to get some more of theirs.

It takes a LONG time to solve this puzzle!

Great for passing the time

The book Brain Games for about $10.00 is excellent. Worth every penny. I have been using it for a few months and ordered one for my grandson and one for a friend. I would actually give Publications International a 4.99 stars for one simple mistake which is the front cover. It shows 3 words circled in red. How do you do that with a lead pencil as the illustration shows......... OK, they still get 5 stars.

My mother loves word searches but her sight isn't what it used to be. I don't think she took offense to the large print style of this book. In fact I think she appreciated the thoughtfulness! Made a great stocking stuffer for Christmas.
