I bought the (Newly Upgraded) Versa after discovering my Rolex needed a winding machine, and a number of internet sites listed the Versa as a good choice. Received it today and set it up. My first thought was that it was larger than I imagined. Larger than a soft ball... Cantaloupe size maybe? Here are my thoughts.1. Instructions are simple, as is set-up.2. This thing is quiet!!! Seems to run like a fine watch :)3. Adapter wire looks pretty thin, and instructions say do not leave plugged in over extended periods if you are not using it. WHY! Is it dangerous?4. Love the sci-fi like blue lights on the thing.5. My 36MM Datejust fit perfectly.6. Day one thoughts - I like it!Details - I'm no watch expert, but some cursory research I found on the net said that certain watches liked to be wound in certain ways. Clockwise for some, others counterclockwise, and different settings for the time needed to wind them. I found an obscure website that listed watch brands and what their watches liked for winding purposes. The instructions do not discuss this and its sad because without this information you can't set up your winder with confidence. The website said most Rolex watches like being wound in multi-directions at the second speed level.I set the adjustments on the Versa and turned it on. Its Quiet!! And it began spinning, slowly and confidently. Blue lights flashing. It was almost pretty and I'm sure I could have been entertained for hours watching it. (Not as fun to watch as a Roomba which can entertain me during most of an afternoon, but still pretty good.) Except it turned itself off, which it is absolutely supposed to do. I have not caught it running again so far, but I know it has been working because my watch is in a different position whenever I happen to glance over at it.Bottom line first day impressions.. Works great. Best winder around for $49.

I'd read online reviews about this watch winder, and they all made mention of the quality for the price point. The reviews are correct. This is a fantastic watch winder for the price.I own multiple automatic watches, and I've used this winder every day since it was purchased. It is quiet, looks great on the side table, and I love the adjustable settings. Many expensive winders don't have as many settings as the Versa, and it's important as each watch movement responds differently to direction and revolutions per day. The only thing I wish was better was the light inside, as it doesn't do a great job of illuminating the front of the watch. That said, this product still gets 5 stars from me.Save money and buy a winder that looks great, has fantastic functionality, and is able to adapt to almost any automatic watch on the market. This is a good winder for the money. Silent. It turns for a while, rests for a while (the length of the rest depends on the TPD setting), then turns again. The auto setting will turn it clockwise and counterclockwise at seemingly random intervals; so some people may think the turns are only one direction, but that’s not the case. You can turn the light on or off during operation; you can set the appropriate/desired TPD (Turns Per Day); and you can determine which direction you want the watch to turn or if you want it to automatically alternate. The instruction sheet also comes with a chart of popular watch brands and which combination of settings are likely to work best. I have Ball, Omega and Rolex watches and it provided guidance on the settings for each to get me started; saving days of operational ‘testing’ to find the best setting. The only complaint I have is that I wish the watch was seated on a completely cushioned watch holder. It has a strip of foam on the very back, where the watch clasp rests; and a circle of the same type of thin, firm foam where the back of the watch casing rests. The rest of the watch holder is plastic. Granted, plastic isn’t hard enough to scratch the Oystersteel bracelet on my Rolexes, for example; but I would still prefer a more cushioned surface for every single place the watch touches on the holder. Overall, this is a good value for the price. It even has a feature or two I’ve found to be missing even on some more expensive winders, (such as the option to adjust the TPD). So overall, this is a good value and it works well. In fact, I like it enough that I’ve ordered a second one that is due to be delivered today.

This watch winder works great and looks great.. First off is the electronic aspect. The motor is sturdy and quiet. Placed on a nighttable, you don't even notice it is there. The electrical converter is just as sturdy, and long enough for you to place the winder in most places, rather than right near an outlet.The winder has three different directions you can rotate the watch: clockwise, counter clockwise, and bi-directional. While I don't really get the purpose, it is nice to have options.Finally, the winder is very professional-looking. It is made with quality parts and is not shabby. It looks good on my nighttable, and fits with pretty much everything due to it's color. It actually looks a bit futuristic, which is neat. The looks of this watchwinder earn 5 star.Overall, I would highly recommend this watchwinder. It looks good in any room, matches everything, and most importantly, functions great. I have winded a watch every night for 8-12 hours, and it is still as quiet and functional as when I bought it. If you need to get a single watch winder, this would be by recommendation. Fairly priced and functional, you can't go wrong.
