Perfect for longer trips
The media could not be loaded. Overview: The Traveler's Choice Maxporter II 30" Hardside Spinner Trunk Luggage is a spacious, durable, and highly functional piece of checked luggage designed to meet the needs of frequent travelers, particularly those who require more packing space. With its large 30-inch size, expandable feature, hard side exterior, and smooth-spinner wheels, this trunk-style luggage offers the perfect blend of durability, security, and convenience for extended trips. Whether you're going on a long vacation, a family getaway, or moving between cities, the Maxporter II provides ample room and a stylish design to meet your travel demands.Packaging & Initial Impressions: The Maxporter II arrives well-packaged and securely wrapped in plastic to prevent any potential damage during shipping. The exterior of the luggage has a sleek, modern design, with a smooth gray finish that exudes sophistication and practicality. The hardshell design, made from durable polypropylene, is lightweight yet robust enough to withstand the bumps and rough handling typical of air travel.Upon opening, the interior reveals a well-organized and spacious compartment with built-in organizational features that suggest the luggage is designed for both functionality and ease of use.Material & Durability: The Traveler's Choice Maxporter II is made from a hardside polypropylene shell, a material known for its resilience and impact resistance. This ensures that your belongings are protected from potential damage caused by rough handling during transit, whether in the cargo hold of an airplane or while being loaded onto a bus. Polypropylene is also lighter than other traditional materials like ABS, offering a balance between strength and weight. While it’s not a hard-shell like aluminum or a more premium polycarbonate, the polypropylene still holds up well against scratches, dents, and general wear and tear. The gray color is practical for concealing scuffs and marks, making it easier to maintain the suitcase's sleek appearance over time.Size & Expandability: At 30 inches, the Maxporter II is on the larger side for checked luggage, making it ideal for travelers with extensive packing needs. Whether you’re packing for a long international trip or need extra space for bulky items, this trunk-style luggage offers an impressive capacity. The expandable feature adds even more versatility, allowing you to increase the interior space by a few inches, which is particularly useful if you find yourself needing additional room on your return trip (or if you tend to over-pack). The expansion is facilitated by a zipper mechanism that is easy to use and, in our tests, didn't cause any issues with sagging or zipper malfunction, a common problem with other expandable luggage. The large size does make this suitcase better suited for longer trips, family travel, or those who need to check in large quantities of clothing, gear, or equipment. It’s worth noting that the 30" size will exceed the standard carry-on restrictions, so this is strictly for checked luggage.Interior Organization: The interior of the Maxporter II is designed with organization in mind. The suitcase features a full-zip divider panel, which keeps items neatly separated and prevents them from shifting during travel. The interior also includes multiple mesh pockets for smaller items, like toiletries, cables, or accessories, helping you stay organized and avoid digging through a jumbled mess of clothing.A dual-strap system is included for securing your clothes, ensuring that they stay in place during travel. This is a thoughtful addition, particularly when using the expanded space, as it helps keep everything from shifting around and prevents wrinkling or damage to delicate items. While the organization is solid, some travelers may find the lack of additional compartments for smaller personal items (such as shoes or a toiletry bag) a slight drawback. However, given the trunk-style nature of the suitcase, this is a minor concern.Wheels & Maneuverability: One of the standout features of the Maxporter II is its 360-degree spinner wheels. The suitcase is equipped with four multi-directional wheels that rotate smoothly in any direction, allowing for effortless maneuverability. Whether you’re navigating through an airport, hotel lobby, or busy city street, these wheels allow the suitcase to glide seamlessly across various surfaces. The spinner wheels are sturdy and, in our testing, remained quiet and smooth even when the suitcase was fully packed. The 30" size and trunk-like shape do require a bit more effort when lifting or tilting the suitcase, but once it's on the ground, it moves with ease. The telescoping handle also adjusts to multiple heights, providing a comfortable grip for travelers of different heights.Security Features: Security is an important consideration when it comes to checked luggage, and the Maxporter II doesn’t disappoint. The suitcase is equipped with a built-in TSA-approved combination lock. This lock is designed to keep your belongings safe during transit while allowing TSA agents to inspect your bag without damaging it.The zippers are sturdy, and the lock mechanism is easy to set, providing an added layer of protection. Although not as robust as a metal lock system, the TSA lock on this luggage should suffice for most travel needs.

Wow, wow....WOW! The greatest travel luggage I've had so far. *Frequent Travel*
Do you want a massive piece of luggage that not only looks good, stands out well and will hold up to abuse while ALSO having a smooth use of wheels? This is for you. The price can tend to be high BUT if you catch the sale at the right time, you will get the most bang for your buck. This thing could hold a small European sized road vehicle inside of it if you wanted and it has very handy removable velcro compartments to sort things out along with a detachable see thru packet perfect for liquid items. It has so much versatility to it and the added sense of security with the lock and the heavy duty zippers have this give you a great ease of mind. While airport employees abuse luggage, this one seems to be handled well with how many points of handle contact there is to move this around. Even when fully loaded down, this is SO easy to manipulate. Standing it up on it's four wheels makes it move around with such ease that you forget it's luggage. HIGHLY recommended and very light when empty as is.

Holds a lot, better than the Samsonite Winfield 3 DLX 28, customer service was excellent!
I will say first and foremost, Amazon price fixes (along with any other item that is this way) the suitcases to encourage buyers to buy the used product that is taking up their inventory, before selling the new product at what should be lower than the used prices, or at the same cost that the used prices are. THIS IS GOUGING, PLAIN AND SIMPLE - AMAZON!That being said, the suitcases scuff easily, but that's with pretty much any manufacturer. If you want to buy a durable suitcase, that has "cosmetic" damage, get this, take some Dawn and a microfiber cloth, and wipe it down, add a little bit of Dawn to both insides of the suitcase, spray/rinse really well with a garden hose, use a sanitizer like Clorox disinfecting spray or Febreeze sanitizing spray, and let dry really well. The suitcase was actually a few dollars less than the Samsonite. In 2022, the Samsonite was used once for a roundtrip plane ride from Ohio to Texas, with one layover. It did not make the return trip, as it cracked at a seam in the body of the outside shell. I blame this on two things: The Samsonite has more of a "rigid" one piece design on both sides of the case, whereas the Traveler's Choice has a "softer" feel, but is still very durable. The other is that there are really only three touch points on the Samsonite, whereas - there are actually five touch points on the Traveler's and I really do think that if you loaded it heavy, it still makes it easier for airline workers to maneuver better than the Samsonite! The TC does not feel flimsy at all, is very, very easy to clean and it is just as maneuverable as the Samsonite. I've used it this year so far in multiple trips from Texas, to PA, to Baltimore (Baltimore TSA sucks, and can kiss my you know what) and all up and down the east and gulf coast, and it has held it's own very well. There are a few scuffs that it's picked up, but I seriously do not care because the shell hasn't cracked and everything has been safe in it.I will say that the first time I used it, I had a trip where I had to pack it with the items that I did, and things got to be very tight, to the point where I had to grip the zipper pulls and they are very, very soft. One of them broke, and I was not happy, even with the fit being tight, the pull should not have bent. I called Amazon about this, and all they wanted to do was have me return the whole suitcase, and then once receiving it, have another one sent out. With my travels, this wouldn't have worked very well. So, they gave me the number to TC. Unfortunately, they gave me the number to Traveler's Insurance, which was not right at all. After some internet sleuthing, I came across the number of TC and in very short order was able to get a hold of a representative who was EXTREMELY professional, and immediately issued an order for replacement pulls to be sent out! On their website, it shows there's a backorder for the pulls, at least over three weeks, which is no bueno for me. I got the replacements in less than four business days, and was able to get the old one off and put the new one on quickly. The replacements are just as cheap as the factory ones.Other than improving the zipper pulls, I'd buy this again in a heartbeat, based off of customer service, and design of the suitcase.
