Worked well on alloy fasteners
Used to extract salt welded and head damaged alloy hex bolts on a motorcycle.Worked very well. Applied so much torque that one bolt snapped.Follow the instructions carefully. If you have a variable power drill/driver build up the torque to allow the bit to grab the metal. Many reports of failure for this type of extractor, but suspect user error in many.M2 HSS steel is an important factor for making these work.

Good but won’t work wonders
This set helped me remove a stripped screw in a plastic rawl plug with absolute ease. However, I had another stripped bolt that I suspect was seized into place. Would not get this out, just kept eating away at the metal. Probably not down to the quality of this product though. Amazon was significantly cheaper than other shops for this product.

Does what it says on the box
It's not normally I write a review but after these extractors saved the day I thought it was worth sharing.I rounded a countersunk cap head hex on my motorbike and after butchering it by trying oversized Torx I was left with a bolt I couldn't remove. After purchasing these extractors I used the size 1 to extract the M6 cap head. I found that the pilot hole drill at the other end was not sufficient so matched the same size drill bit. It's important to drill deep enough to ensure full engagement of all threads on the extractor. It was then started by hand with a ratchet and once tight a gentle use of an electric impact gun in reverse removed the rounded cap head bolt.I also ground down the body of the extractor after the threads as this was making contact with what was left of the cap head wall.

Good, but ultimatly dissapointing for me
Having read the reviews of this as well as cheaper equivalents I ordered a set to do a specific job - removal of a bolt that had rusted in an alloy wheel (it held a cover on, not the wheel to the car). The bolt had snapped off a few years ago when the tyres were replaced, but I had high hopes for this along with a can of English Abrasives 801-10 Plusgas Aerosol 200ml to do the job.Once I got the hang of the burnisher end (push hard), it was going well. Then the thread to remove the bolt went in and bit. My electric drill couldn't shift it, and it seemed stuck, so I had to resort to hand tools. Well despite it looking like the common hex shoulder, there were protrusions meaning it didn't go into a normal holder, needing a longer one to marry up to my socket set. After things were looking like they were moving, snap, the end was off. I managed to free the broken bits, but I was dissapointed to not be able to get the bolt out. In the end I drilled out the bolt and will re-tap, and hopefully have my alloy wheel cover back on...So in summary, the burnisher is good, but it cannot handle the torque for a really stuck bolt. And be aware that the larger one may not fit in an existing hex shoulder.

Looking good but failed to perform
Quality of the bits are of a high standard but failed to do the job in hand they were purchased for. Not to say they don't work as no doubt they have for others but can only write a review from my experience and they failed to do the job.

Useless
Did nothing apart from bore a slight hole into the bolt head. No bite in the thread at all. Now need to drill the bolt out which I should have done in the first place. Was hoping so of the bad reviews were just unfortunate or had really stuck bolts/screws, but unfortunately not.

Good success rate
I've used these a few times over the past few weeks to remove stripped and heavily rusted screws. Success is pretty good - they haven't worked every time, but so far I'm getting about a 75% success rate. Therefore I think these are certainly worth trying before you decide more drastic action, such as drilling out the screw. The instructions in the packet are a little ambiguous, but the QR code gives a link to much clearer instructions (and once you've used these a couple of times you are unlikely to need the instructions again. I've found it best to experiment with the thread end - a couple times where the screw seemed immovable , swapping to a larger size thread-end proved successful.
